Mara Briggs, Roanoke, Jr., Jumps

Briggs, a junior from Marion, Va., put together a strong first outdoor performance of the season at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational. A national qualifier in the indoor high jump, Briggs won the event this weekend after clearing 1.63 meters (5-4.25) to take over the #1 spot in the ODAC. That mark is also fifth-best in NCAA Division III so far this season.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Field Events Weekly Honor Roll

Courtney Adams, BC: won the pole vault at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational by clearing 3.35m (10-11.75). That is #1 in the ODAC by half-a-foot, second all-time at Bridgewater, and 12th in Division III. She also ran legs of the winning 4x100m (49.48) and seveth place 4x400m (4:24.52) relays.

Rachel Murray, LC: competed in three throwing events at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational. Finished second in the javelin at 36.06m (118-4.00), seventh in the hammer at 33.19m (108-11.00), and 11th in the discus at 28.14m (92-4.00). Her javelin mark is #1 in the ODAC in #24 in Division III.
