Isaac Alderfer, Eastern Mennonite, Jr., Mid-Distance

Alderfer, a junior from Broadway, Va., is now the proud owner of each indoor and outdoor mid-distance record in the Eastern Mennonite record books following his showings in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter runs at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic hosted by the University of Lynchburg. Alderfer reset his own Royals record (3:52.47) in the 1,500 with a winning time of 3:50.26. That is now the top mark in the ODAC and ranks third in NCAA Division III. Alderfer added a win in the 800m in 1:52.51. That time is second in the ODAC to Lynchburg's Sam Llaneza (1:52.05) and ranks 13th in the country. It also reset the EMU record previously set by Tyler Denlinger in 2017 at 1:52.75.
