Amber Ingram, Lynchburg, Jr., Pitcher

Ingram, a junior from Floyd, Va., won twice last week with a pair of complete game efforts as the Hornets rattled off a 5-1 week.  Ingram tossed a three-hit shutout against Emory & Henry in game two of a doubleheader sweep of the Wasps.  She fanned seven batters and didn't walk anyone as LC won, 3-0.  She came back with another seven innings effort in a 3-2 triumph at Ferrum in game two of a split with the Panthers.  She gave up two runs on eight hits with two walks and six strikeouts.  Ingram is now 13-3 on the season with a 2.88 earned run average in 107.0 innings pitched.

Softball Pitching Honor Roll

Maggie Shaffer, Guilford (So., P - Horsham, Pa.)
Shaffer threw a complete game one-hit shutout to lead the Quakers to a 4-0 triumph against Bridgewater.  She walked one batter and fanned three.  She now has 11 wins on the season, which ranks third in school history.  She also has three shutouts and 12 complete games on the year.

Jenna Best, Randolph-Macon (So., P - Chesapeake, Va.)
Best went 2-0 last week as she worked a pair of complete games.  She won 8-0 with five innings in a shortened affair against Southern Virginia.  She gave up three hits and struck out a pair.  She followed that with seven strong innings for a 4-1 win against Shenandoah.  She gave up one run on six hits with two strikeouts.

Kristina Karagiorgis, Virginia Wesleyan (Jr, P - Ashburn, Va.)
Karagiorgis picked up her ODAC-best 17th win of the season in an 8-0 shortened triumph against Roanoke.  She gave up three hits with three walks and nine strikeouts in five innings in the circle.
