Kristina Karagiorgis, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr., Pitcher

Karagiorgis, a senior from Ashburn, Va., improved to 6-2 on the season with three complete games victories last week, including a gem in a 3-0 win over Arcadia.  In that contest, Karagiorgis treated the crowd to a perfect game, facing the minimum 21 batters in seven innings.  She didn't allow a baserunner while striking out a season-high 13.  Her two other victories came in conference play as VWC topped Eastern Mennonite, 4-0, and Lynchburg, 7-6.  Against EMU, Karagiorgis scattered five hits with a walk and six punchouts in collecting her second shutout of the week.  She got the win against LC, working all seven frames at Moon Field.  She gave up six runs, only two earned, on eight hits with a walk and four strikeouts.  For the season, Karagiorgis owns a 0.57 earned run average, ranking second in the league.  She leads the ODAC with 66 strikeouts.

Softball Pitcher Honor Roll

Lauren Campbell, Eastern Mennonite (Jr. - Stuarts Draft, Va.)
Campbell went 2-1 with a save last week amongst five relief appearances.  She won game one against Juniata (13-5), working three innings, and then got a three-inning save in game two.  She gave up one run on four hits with two K's in those six frames.  She wented four scoreless innings to get the win, 5-3, against CNU.  Her loss came in the second game of that doubleheader.

Roxanne Hillman, Emory & Henry (Sr.)

Hillman went a full seven frames in the Wasps' 9-3 triumph over Sweet Briar.  She game up two earned runs on seven hits with a pair of walks and a career-best 12 strikeouts.

Maggie Shaffer, Guilford (Jr. - Horsham, Pa.)
Shaffer won twice last week, beginning with a 10-0 five-inning triumph over Keystone.  She gave up to just one hit and fanned seven.  She followed with a full seven innings in a 3-1 win over Randolph, giving up one run on four hits with two walks and a strikeout.

Conner English, Lynchburg (Fr. - Altavista, Va.)
English picked up two wins and a save in four appearances last week.  In a 3-1 win over Randolph, she went seven innings, giving up a run on two hits with a walk and nine strikeouts.  She didn't factor in the decision in 2.2 innings of work in a 7-6 loss to VWC, giving up two runs on four hits.  She got the save in game two against the Marlins, working 1.2 scoreless innings with one hit and a punchout.  Her third relief appearance netted a second win as she worked a perfect 3.2 frames with five strikeouts in a 4-1 win over Ferrum.

Nelda Bagley, Randolph-Macon (Fr. - Kenbridge, Va.)
Bagley registered a pair of wins in three appearances last week.  She won 8-0 over Sweet Briar, giving up one hit with eight strikeouts in five innings.  She earned another five-inning win over Shenandoah (9-1), surrendering one run on three hits with six punchouts.  She also worked 4.1 innings of relief in a game two loss to the Hornets (4-3), giving up just two hits and fanning three.
