Hull, a freshman from Chesterfield, Va., continues to shine in the circle for the nationally top-ranked Marlins as she went 2-0 with a save in three appearances last week. Hull opened with a two-hit shutout in the Marlins 4-0 victory over nationally 16th-ranked Randolph-Macon. She issued one free pass but offset her three allowed base runners with 17 strikeouts, the second-most she's recorded in a game this season. Hull came back in the second game to shut the door on a 4-1 victory. She earned the save with two perfect innings as she fanned all six batters she faced. She was back in the circle for a start in Virginia Wesleyan's 3-2 victory over Roanoke. She went the distance and gave up two unearned runs on four hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts. It marked her 11th overall appearance and third straight start with 10 or more strikeouts. For the season, Hull leads the ODAC with a 17-1 record. She also tops the league in earned run average (0.51), strikeouts (197), and shutouts (7). Opponents are hitting just .119 against her.

Lauren Seale, Eastern Mennonite (Sr.)
Seale went the distance to get an 8-2 win over Bridgewater. She gave up two runs on five hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. She struck out four in two innings of relief in game two of that series, a 5-3 loss. She added two more innings of relief, fanning five with a walk in a 10-0 win over Sweet Briar.

Emily Kendrick, Emory & Henry (Jr.)
Kendrick went 2-1 with a save in five appearances last week. She shutout Roanoke, 1-0, giving up three this with two walks and strikeout. She worked two innings in game two, walking one and fanning four in an 8-4 win. She took the loss after going 9.2 innings in a 6-5 decision at Shenandoah. She gave up six runs (four earned) on nine hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. She won game one against Bridgewater, 6-1, giving up one run on four hits with a walk and nine K's in seven full frames. She came back for two innings in game two and earned a save in an 8-4 result.

Makayla Carver, Guilford (So.)
Carver went the distance in defeating Bridgewater, 9-2. She gave up two runs on three hits without and walk. She struck out nine. Carver returned to pitch two innings in game two, helping GC to an 11-7 win in giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

Taylor Belknap, Lynchburg (So.)
Belknap went twirled a complete game in a 4-2 victory over #16 Randolph-Macon. She gave up two runs (one earned) on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. She worked 1.2 scoreless frames in game one of that series, surrendering just one hit in a 9-4 setback.

Candace Whittemore, Randolph-Macon (So.)
Whittemore went 2-2 in four starts for R-MC. She took the loss in both games against #1 Virginia Wesleyan to start the week. Combined, she gave up eight runs (four earned) on 13 hits with 12 walks and four strikeouts in 14 innings of work. She came back to post a 9-4 win at Lynchburg and a 9-0 triumph over Methodist. She gave up four runs on 10 hits without a walk and two strikeouts against LC. She earned a shortened five-inning shutout against MU as she surrendered just one hit and fanned four.
