Wood, a junior from Tappahannock, Va., was seemingly on the basepaths all weekend for nationally 13th-ranked Randolph-Macon as she racked up a .727/.800/.909 slash line in a 4-0 week. Wood went 9-for-11 at the dish with nine runs scored, a triple, five runs driven in, three walks, and three stolen bases without being caught. She was 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs scored, and two RBI with a walk in a 9-0 win over New Rochelle. She capped her perfect day with a 2-for-2 showing in an 11-0 win over Keuka. She scored two runs and drove in two more with a walk. Wood went 2-for-3 in an 11-2 victory over Manhattanville with a walk, a steal, two runs scored, and a RBI. She closed her week with a 1-for-3 effort in a 9-2 triumph over Oswego. She stole a base and scored two runs. For the season, Wood is hitting .371 (13-for-35) with 13 runs scored and eight RBI.

Softball Player of the Week Honor Roll

Stephanie Carroll, BC: was 10-for-22 with seven doubles, three runs scored, and two RBI with two walks in the Eagles 2-5 week. Had three hits with a pair of doubles in a 6-5 setback to DeSales. Registered at least one double in all but one game played. Had two hits each in a loss to Emerson (3-0) and a win over Bluffton (9-8).

Makayla Carver, GC: went 9-for-16 with seven runs scored, three doubles, a homer, and eight RBI with two walks and three steals in the Quakers 3-1 week. Went 6-for-9 with a walk, two doulbes, a homer, seven RBI and six runs scored in a sweep on the road at Southern Virginia (13-5, 10-2). That included a 4-for-6 showing in game one. Went 3-for-4 with a double in an 8-7 win at Averett.

Taylor Mabry, LC: was 11-for-22 with a double, two homers, five RBI, five runs scored, and three walks in the Hornets 3-3 week. Went 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in an 11-4 win in game two of a split against Salisbury. Was 3-for-5 in a 6-3 win over Rochester, and went 4-for-7 with a double. homer, three RBI, and three runs scored in a split with Immaculata (4-2, 8-9).

Taylor Carter, RC: went 9-for-24 with three doubles, nine runs scored, four runs driven in, six walks, and seven stolen bases while only being caught once in a 3-5 week. Went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored, a walk, and a steal in a 12-5 win over Pfieffer. Stole a pair of bases and scored twice with three walks in a 13-1 win over Penn College.

Maryann Hollen, SU: belted three homers and a double as part of a 6-for-16 showing in the Hornets 3-1 week. Drove in six runs with three runs scored. Went 2-for-4 wit ha homer and two RBI in a 14-0 win over Hunter. Went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in a 12-3 over Keuka.
