Whittemore, a junior from Montpelier, Va., twirled a pair of 3-0 shutouts against ODAC foes last week, helping the nationally seventh-ranked to a 6-0 week to move to 28-2 on the season. The Yellow Jackets have not won seven straight outings. Whittemore went the full seven frames in game one of a sweep at Eastern Mennonite. She gave up five hits and did not walk a batter while fanning five Royals. She turned the same trick in game one of a sweep of nationally 25th-ranked Emory & Henry. She surrendered just four hits and against did not allow a free pass. She struck out 12 Wasps, he second-highest output of the season and third 10-plus punchout game of the year. For the season, Whittemore is 12-2 with a 0.69 earned run average. She's fanned 108 batters and walked just 16 in 91.1 innings in the circle. She is second in the ODAC in wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts and third in ERA.

Softball Pitcher of the Week Honor Roll

Alex Cisar, LC: went 2-0 with a save in three appearances last week. She went seven innings and gave up one run on five hits with a walk and a strikeout in a 4-1 victory at Guilford. Added her second with with 4.2 innings in the circle in a 5-4 triumph in game one at EMU. She gave up three runs on seven hits with four walks and four strikeouts. Came back in game two with a three-inning save in a 6-4 decision. Gave up two runs on four hits with a walk and a strikeout.

Lindsey Chaney, RAND: went 2-1 in three starts last week. Defeated #25 E&H, 5-3, with a complete game effort. Gave up three runs while scattering nine hits. She didn't walk a batter and fanned a season-high 10 batters. Took the loss in a 5-2 decision against EMU. Gave up five runs (two earned) on seven hits with four walks and six strikeouts. Came back with a complete game win at Bridgewater, 5-2. Gave up two runs on eight hits without a walk and struck out 10 batters for a second time.

Teresa Wagner, RC: went a full five innings in a shortened 9-0 win at Bridgewater. Surrendered three hits and didn't walk a batter while punching out six.

Hanna Hull, VWU: moved to 19-0 with wins in both games of a sweep of Guilford. Gave up one hit and struck out four in three innings in a shortened 9-0 win in game one. Again went the first three frames in game two, giving up one run on two hits with five strikeouts in a 10-1 win.
