GREENSBORO, N.C. | Washington and Lee junior Emily Hageboeck went record-hunting twice on Friday on the way to picking up All-America recognition on day three of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

The ODAC along with the Greensboro Sports Commission are serving as co-hosts with the GAC for this season's four-day national championship event. The conference is no stranger to the GAC as the ODAC hosts its championship in the facility over three days in mid-February.

  • Emily Hageboeck earned Honorable Mention All-American laurels in the 100-yard breaststroke

RECORDS

  • Hageboeck twice set the ODAC and Washington and Lee records in the 100-yard breastroke; she posted a time of 1:03.68 in the prelims and topped that with a time of 1:03.50 in the finals to strengthen her grip on the new standard

WHO DID WHAT IN WHICH EVENT

  • Women's 100-Yard Breaststroke Prelims | Hageboeck was joined by Caroline Baber in the 100-yard breastroke prelims. Hageboeck qualified for the consolation finals with an 11th-place time of 1:03.68. Baber finished 32nd in 1:06.44
  • Women's 100-Yard Breaststroke Finals | Hageboeck collected honorable mention All-American recognition with a 10th-place time of 1:03.50
  • Women's 100-Yard Backstroke Prelims | Roanoke's Reilly Bird was joined by W&L's Turner Bobbitt in the 100-back prelims. Bird finished 27th at 0:57.15, while Bobbitt turned in a 38th-place time of 0:58.48

WHERE DOES THE TEAM STAND

  • Washington and Lee dropped two spots to 10th place with 93.5 points in the women's team standings. Emory University maintained the top spot with 351.0 points.

UP NEXT

  • Washington and Lee will be busy on the final day of the Championship on Saturday. MacQueen will compete in the 100-yard freestyle, while Hageboeck will take part in the 200-yard breaststroke. The team of MacQueen, Baber, Claudia Barnett, and Elle Chancey will compete in the meet's final women's event, the 400-yard freestyle relay. Preliminary action begins at 10:00 a.m. ET. The finals begin for all qualifiers at 6:00 p.m. ET.

* Those that finish top-8 in the finals earn All-American honors. Those that finish 9-16 in the finals earn Honorable Mention All-American recognition. To qualify for a finals session, a swimming must finish inside the top-16 (consolation final) or top-8 (championship final) in the prelims.
