Thetford, a freshman from Birmingham, Ala., won twice and participated in a pair of second-place finishing relays as W&L finished second at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Tri-Meet.  Thetford won the 50-yard freestyle in 0:21.38 and then added the 100-yard freestyle title in 0:47.44.  He and his teammates finished second in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays with times of 1:38.74 and 1:27.93, respectively.
