Elisabeth Holmes, Washington and Lee, So.

Holmes, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., helped the Generals to a second place showing at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Tri-Meet.  She won four individual events, setting one ODAC seasonal top mark and posting times that would have second in the conference to her previously established best marks.  She won the 50-yard freestyle in 0:24.90, which is the top time in the ODAC by nearly a half-second.  She also stopped the watches first in the 100-yard, 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle events in times of 0:54.16, 5:15.38 and 10:50.01.

Women's Swimming Honor Roll

Emily Townsend, Bridgewater (Jr. - Hampton, Va.)
Townsend won three individual events in BC's tri-meet win over Greensboro and Sweet Briar.  She won the 50-free (29:48), 100-fly (1:13.35) and 200-breaststroke (2:59.94).  She and her teammates claimed a win in the 200-free relay (2:01.91).  All events were competed in meters.

Michaela Nolte, Emory & Henry (So. - Hillsborough, N.C.)
Nolte won two individual events and aided a win in a relay as E&H swept a tri-meet with King and Ferrum.  All three wins set short-course meters school records.  She won the 100-fly in 1:02.59 and followed that with a victory in the 100-breaststroke in 1:11.08).  She and her teammates on the 200 medley relay in 2:07.09.

Megan Monahan, Sweet Briar (So. - Cincinnati, Ohio)
Monahanwon three individual events and helped a Vixen relay to a third place showing as SBC finished second in a tri-meet with Bridgewater and Greensboro.  Monahan won the 800-free (10:25.11) in addition to victories in the 100-back (1:14.01) and 200-back (2:39.57).  She and her teammates finished third in the 200 medley relay in 2:19.83.
