Robert Redenz, Randolph-Macon, Sr.
January 30, 2017Redenz, a senior from Moseley, Va., put together three winning swims to help Randolph-Macon defeat Greensboro and Ferrum in a tri-meet. Redenz posted the Yellow Jackets fastest 1000-yard freestyle time of the season in winning the event in 10:15.73. It also ranks fifth in the ODAC this season. Redenz added victories in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.31 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:02.93. He established the league's best times in both events earlier this season. -
Jessica Richardson, Emory & Henry, Sr.
January 30, 2017Richardson, a senior from Vero Beach, Fla., put herself in the Emory & Henry record books for the second time in as many weeks in helping the Wasps defeat a pair of scholarship-granting programs in King College (115-74) and Milligan College (135-29). Richardson won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:17.85, which converts to 2:04.18 for the NCAA standard of short-course yards. In the 100-meter backstroke, she etched her name in the E&H record books for the second time in 13 days in winning the event in 1:08.22. That translates to 1:01.45, which ranks inside the ODAC's top-seven. Richardson also helped E&H win the 200-meter medley relay in 2:13.46. Her backstroke 50-meter split of 0:31.53 converts to 0:28.40.

Noah Schammel, Washington and Lee, Jr.
January 23, 2017Schammel, a junior from Greenville, S.C., helped the Generals top both host York College (Pa.) and Marymount University (Va.) this weekend with scores of 174.5-85.5 and 201-46, respectively. Schammel set new pool records in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly events, winning each with times of 0:51.76 and 1:57.29. He owns the top time in both events (0:50.69 and 1:55.19), with this weekend's marks ranking second and third to his own previous swims, respectively. Schammel also helped W&L win the 200-yard medley relay against Marymount with a time of 1:36.42, which is now the fastest in the ODAC this season.

Ali MacQueen, Washington and Lee, Fr.
January 23, 2017MacQueen, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn., helped Washington and Lee claim a tri-meet win at York College (Pa.) by defeating the hosts, 187-71, and Marymount University (Va.), 200-46. MacQueen set one individual pool record and helped the Generals duplicate that feat in a relay amongst her three swims. She won the 100-yard butterfly with a pool-record time of 0:57.40. That time is second only to her ODAC season-best showing of 0:55.75 earlier this season. MacQueen and her teammates set a pool-record in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:38.13, less than a second short of the previous season-best time (1:37.27) established earlier in the year. She and her teammates also won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:49.05, which again would rank second in the ODAC this season.

Michaela Nolte, Emory & Henry, Sr.
January 16, 2017Nolte, a senior from Hillsborough, N.C., posted a strong day for Emory & Henry in a split with Bridgewater (L, 133-120) and Hollins (W, 155-43). She was a part of four school records in the Wasps' meters record book, and when converted both her individual times rank inside the top-three in the ODAC this season. In each, one of those top-three times was established by her in a previous outing. Nolte won the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststrokes in 1:15.17 and 2:44.27, both school and personal-bests by that measurement. She helped her teammates set a record in the 200-meter medley relay in 2:06.69, and she set the E&H 50-meter record with her split of 0:27.70 in helping the Wasps win the 200-meter free relay in 1:54.66.

Sam Logue, Washington and Lee, Fr.
January 16, 2017Logue, a freshman from Fallston, Md., put together a strong day in the Generals 172-84 victory over Catholic. Logue posted a pair of top-5 ODAC times in winning a pair of individual events and adding two more relay triumphs. He stopped the watches first in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly, posting times of 0:21.62 and 0:52.46, respectively. Logue helped Washington and Lee win the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyles. He and his teammates touched the wall in 1:37.26 and 1:26.34.

Emily Rollo, Washington and Lee, Sr.
January 09, 2017Rollo, a senior from Haddonfield, N.J., helped the nationally 10th-ranked Generals start of 2017 with a bang as she was a part of four of Washington and Lee's 11 winning swims (in 12 events) in its 155-96 dual meet victory over Bridgewater. Rollo touched the wall first in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstrokes as she gears up to challenge her existing ODAC records -- both championship and overall -- in the two events. She posted times of 1:01.17 and 2:10.91, respectively. Rollo also helped W&L to wins in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays with times of 1:51.28 and 1:42.03.

December 12, 2016Redenz, a senior from Moseley, Va., maintained his winning ways with another strong showing in the Yellow Jackets meet against York College (Pa.). Redenz won twice individual, stopping the watches first int he 100-yard and 200-yard freestyles with times of 0:48.97 and 1:47.62, respectively. He also helped Randolph-Macon to a win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:29.57.

Kacey Pool, Randolph-Macon, Fr.
December 12, 2016Pool, a freshman from Chesapeake, Va., lived up to her surname as she put together a strong performance in the water at York College (Pa.) in a dual matchup for the Yellow Jackets. Pool won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.44. She also helped Randolph-Macon to a pair of relay wins, posting times of 4:20.51 and 1:43.69 to capture top prize in the 400-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays, respectively.

December 05, 2016Redenz, a senior from Moseley, Va., was busy with seven swims during the Yellow Jacket Invitational over the weekend, helping Randolph-Macon to fourth place of 11 competing teams. Redenz won the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:57.81, besting a field of 41 swimmers. He went on to finish second in the 100-yard breaststroke, snapping his own school mark with a time of 0:58.24. He added a sixth place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:12.42. Redenz took part in four relays, helping R-MC to second in the 400-yard medley (3:34.64), third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:27.64) and 800-yard freestyle (7:11.88), and fifth in the 400-yard freestyle (3:13.16).

William Borst, Washington and Lee, Fr.
November 21, 2016Borst, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, was busy in the Generals second place showing out of 10 teams at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Borst was a member of the second place 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a new ODAC record with a time of 6:58.23. He went on to contribute to the fifth place 400-yard freestyle relay team that posted a time of 3:12.20. Indvidually, Borst won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:43.46 and placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle in 4:44.39. He added an 18th place showing in the 100-yard freestyle in 0:48.62.

Emily Hageboeck, Washington and Lee, Fr.
November 21, 2016Hageboeck, a freshman from Charleston, W.Va., picks up her second weekly award of the season after setting multiple records in help Washington and Lee to second amongst 12 teams at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Hageboeck won the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:31.00, setting ODAC and W&L records while also eclipsing the NCAA "B" Cut time. She achieved the same trio in the preliminaries of the 200-yard breaststroke, posting at ime of 2:19.96. She would go on to win the event with a time of 2:21.72. She also won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.64. Hageboeck aided the Generals' win in the 400-yard medley relay, which stopped the watches at 3:48.19.

Ali MacQueen, Washington and Lee, Fr.
November 14, 2016MacQueen, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn., continued her early success as a collegiate swimmer, picking up her second ODAC weekly award of the season. She helped the Generals to a pair of wins at Carnegie Mellon, defeating the host Tartans, 136-126, and topping Grove City College, 203-88. MacQueen contributed to three Generals' wins, including a pool-record in the 100-yard butterfly. She won the event with a time of 0:57.01, which is time top in the ODAC by three seconds this season and just 0.17 seconds shy of the conference overall record. MacQueen also helped W&L win a pair of relays, stopping the watches first in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:48.46 and the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:38.10. The medley relay finish is the top time in the conference this season.

Tommy Thetford, Washington and Lee, Jr.
November 14, 2016Thetford, a junior from Birmingham, Ala., continued his strong start to the new season. He helped Washington and Lee to a 1-1 double-dual showing at Carnegie Mellon with the Generals besting Grove City Colllege, 189-102, and falling to CMU, 191-71. Thetford swam three times, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 0:21.77, which is just outside his previous season-best of 0:21.46. He finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 0:47.71, which again is just shy of his earlier faster time of 0:47.41. Thetford also helped W&L to second in the 200-yard free relay in 1:26.80, marking the fastest time in the ODAC this season.

Emma Daw, Bridgewater, Fr.
November 07, 2016Daw, a freshman from Alexandria, Va., set school records in all five of her individual events over two meets last week for the Eagles. Bridgewater defeated Sweet Briar (139-52) and Guilford (155-42) as well as Greensboro (163-32) in a double-dual. Against SBC with events competed in meters, Daw won the 400-individual medley in 5:24.77 in addition to the 200-butterfly in 2:40.75 and the 200-breaststroke in 2:54.02. She went on to post wins in the 200-individual medley and 100-breaststroke against Greensboro and Guilford with meters times of 2:32.17 and 1:20.88, respectively. Daw aided her teammates in a 200-medley relay victory in 2:16.44.

October 31, 2016Redenz, a senior from Moseley, Va., competed three times in the Yellow Jackets dual meet against Mary Washington. Redenz won once and finished second in his other individual event while also helping R-MC to second in a relay. He touched the wall first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.9. He then placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in 0:53.83. Redenz helped his teammates to second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:31.58.

Michaela Nolte, Emory & Henry, Sr.
October 31, 2016Nolte, a senior from Hillsborough, N.C., got her season started with four first place finishes amongst the five individual events in which she competed at the 16th Annual Sewanee Invitational. She added contributions to a pair of relay victories to her performance sheet. Nolte set three meet records along the way and came without 0.01-seconds of fourth. She won 50-yard, 100-yard, and 200-yard breaststroke events with meet record times of 0:31.07, 1:08.09, and 2:26.38, respectively. She added a win the 100-yard individual medley in 1:01.90, and finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 0:25.12. Nolte achored E&H to wins in both the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle relays in 0:48.01 and 1:41.82. Emory & Henry finished fourth of eight teams in the invitational.

October 24, 2016MacQueen, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn., contributed to four winning swims as the Generals defeated Randolph-Macon, 167-89, in a dual meet. MacQueen won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 0:24.78. She then doubled the distance with a less than doubled time as she won the 100-yard freestyle in 0:54.21. MacQueen helped her teammates touch the wall first in both the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays, registering times of 1:49.26 and 1:40.23, respectively.

Tommy Thetford, Washington and Lee, Jr.
October 24, 2016Thetford, a junior from Birmingham, Ala., continued his strong start to the new season with his second straight weekly award. He helped the Generals defeat Randolph-Macon, 162-96, in a dual meet. Thetford bettered his previous season-best time in the 50-yard freestyle, winning the event in 0:21.46. He also claimed the 100-yard freestyle in 0:47.89, and the 200-yard freestyle in 1:46.19. He also helped W&L to a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:28.13.

Emily Rollo, Washington and Lee, Sr.
October 17, 2016Rollo, a senior from Haddonfield, N.J., helped lead Washington and Lee to first place at the ODAC Relays by contributing to five winning events. In the uniquely formatted event, Rollo aided in wins four uncommon relays -- 3x50 backstroke relay (1:23.51), 100-yard dolphin kick relay (0:53.78), 8x25-yard relay (1:37.62), and 300-yard individual medley relay (3:11.78). She also helped her teammates to a win in the four conventional 200-yard medley relay (1:50.01). The Generals won the meet with 487 total points.

Emily Hageboeck, Washington and Lee, Fr.
October 10, 2016Hageboeck, a freshman from Charleston, W.Va., kicked off her collegiate career with three individual event victories and one relay triumph as Washington and Lee won the Derby City Invitational against five other programs. Hageboeck won the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events with times of 1:08.03 and 2:25.46. She added a win in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:12.87. She helped her teammates claim gold in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.62.

Tommy Thetford, Washington and Lee, Jr.
October 10, 2016Thetford, a junior from Birmingham, Ala., opened the season with two event victories and two second place finishes as Washington and Lee placed first out of six teams at the Derby City Invitational. Last season's ODAC Swimmer of the Year and three-time All-American won the 50-yard freestyle in 0:21.74 while finishing second in the 100-yard free in 0:47.41. Thetford also competed in a pair of relays, helping his teammates win the 400-yard free relay in 3:11.07 and finish second in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:37.69.
