Kontopanos, a freshman from North Chesterfield, Va., posted a pair of ODAC top individual times and nearly registered a third in a strong showing at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. Kontopanos won the 200-yard butterfly in an ODAC-best 1:52.80, which is just 0.23 seconds hort of the ODAC record. He added a pair of fourth place finishes in the 100-yard fly and the 200-yard IM, posting times of 51.46 seconds and 1:58.56. His 100-fly time tops the conference ranks, while his 200-IM mark is second. Kontopanos also competed in four relays, placing fourth in the 200-yard medley (1:38.02), sixth in the 800-yard free (7:17.78) and seventh in both the 200-yard free (1:28.86) and 400-yard free (3:16.19).

Men's Swimming Weekly Honor Roll

Hudson Elmore, H-SC: Won three times and set a school-record in a split against Ferrum and Roanoke. Won the 1000-free in a H-SC record time of 10:49.40. Added wins in the 500-free (5:11.66) and 200-fly (1:59.93). Finished third in the 100-fly (54.55) and helped his teammates to second in the 400-free relay (3:24.14).

Jeffrey Oliveri, RAND: Helped Randolph to four school records at the W&L Invitational. Finished 18th in record-time in the 100-free (50.29), 13th in the 50-free (22.51). The 200-free (1:31.48), 400-medley (3:59.33), and 400-free (3:26.04) relays are set school records.

Nick McGrath, RC: Won three individual events and helped RC to three relay wins at the Central Virginia Duals. Won the 50-free (21.65), 100-free (49.41) and 100-breaststroke (1:01.76). Aided in relay wins in the 400-free, 200-medley, and 400-medley.

Tommy Thetford, W&L: Won two events and helped W&L win four relays at the W&L Invitational. Set ODAC top times in the 50 (20.85) and 100 (45.92) freestyles. He and his teammates won the 200-free (1:25.04), 400-free (3:08.49), 200-medley (1:35.78) and 400-medley (3:31.41) relays.
