KALA YODERS, Eastern Mennonite, Freshman, Forward
February 21, 2011Yoders, a freshman from Myerstown, Pa., responded to her first three starts of the season by leading EMU to three straight wins, including an impressive win over Guilford in overtime. In Yoders’ first start, she responded by hitting 8-of-11 shots for a game high 18 points as the women broke the program record for largest winning margin, 101-33 over Randolph. The freshman notched her third double-double Friday against Emory & Henry with 16 points and 11 rebounds. She also handed out a game high six assists. Then Saturday against Guilford, Yoders took over late in regulation to lead EMU to the overtime win. She helped erase a late seven-point deficit by scoring EMU’s final six points of regulation, tying the game with 54 seconds left in the second half. In overtime, Yoders added another six points and iced the victory with two free throws with seven seconds on the clock. She scored 21 points (9-of-12 in free throws) and pulled down eight rebounds. Over her three starts this week, Yoders shot 50% from the floor and was 15-of-22 from the free throw line, averaging 18.3 points, 9.0 rebounds (4.3 offensive and 4.7 defensive), and 3.0 assists. -
BECCA BOLTON, Washington and Lee, Junior, Forward
February 14, 2011Bolton, a junior from Pittsboro, N.C., earns her second weekly award of the season. Bolton led the Generals to a 2-0 week with wins over Randolph-Macon and Guilford. She led the team in scoring in both contests, registering 20+ points in both games. Against R-MC, Bolton scored 26 points while going a perfect 12-of-12 from the line and 7-of-10 from the field. She also added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Against Guilford, she finished with 21 points and collected a team-high 13 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.

TAYLOR WIECZOREK, Randolph-Macon, Junior, Center
February 07, 2011Wieczorek, a junior from Grasonville, Md., recorded double-doubles in each of three victories from Randolph-Macon as the Yellow Jackets extended their winning streak to 12 games. Wieczorek opened the week with a career day in which she notched 21 points and an ODAC season-high 19 rebounds in a win over Eastern Mennonite. She connected on 10-of-12 field goals and added two assists, a pair of blocked shots and a steal. She followed that up with 11 points and 14 boards in a win at Guilford, and finished the week with 10 points and 10 rebounds at Emory & Henry. For the week, Wieczorek averaged 14.3 points and 14.3 rebounds while also hitting all six of her foul shot.

JORDAN BURKHOLDER, Bridgewater, Senior, Forward
January 31, 2011Burkholder, a senior from Bridgewater, Va., picks up her third ODAC weekly honor this season, her first since the turn over the calendar. Burkholder averaged 26.5 points per game and became Bridgewater's all-time leading scorer on Friday night in Lynchburg as she led the Eagles to a 2-0 week in ODAC play. On Tuesday night against EMU, Burkholder drained 8-of-16 shots from the field and was 14-of-14 from the stripe to lead the Eagles offense with 30 points on the night. On Friday night in Lynchburg, Burkholder survived a slow start before knocking in six of her last nine shots, including a layup with 11:15 to play which put her atop the career scoring list with her 1,600th career point. On the week, Burkholder recorded a dozen steals as well, including seven against Lynchburg. She finished 21-of-22 (.955) from the foul line while also averaging 4.5 rebounds per game.

BECCA BOLTON, Washington and Lee, Junior, Forward
January 24, 2011Bolton, a junior from Pittsboro, N.C., led the Generals to a 2-0 week with wins over Southern Virginia and Eastern Mennonite. She led W&L in scoring both contests, notching a season-high 26 points and eight assists against Southern Virginia, while recording 23 points and a season-best four steals versus Eastern Mennonite. She recorded 20 points in consecutive contests for the first time this season, and the first time since the 2009 season when she did it against Christopher Newport and Hollins.

MAGGIE ROY, Randolph-Macon, Junior, Guard
January 18, 2011Roy, a junior from Richmond, Va., has been a catalyst during the Yellow Jackets current eight-game ODAC winning streak that includes of trio of conference victories over the past week. The highlight triumph came against then ODAC first place team Roanoke College when Roy knocked down a three-pointer with 11.4-seconds to play give the Yellow Jackets a 73-71 win. She had 12 points in that game, a total she matched with eight rebounds a day later in a win at Hollins. Against Virginia Wesleyan to start the week, Roy notched 16 points to go with five rebounds. Roy was strong from the free throw line all week, knocking down 13-of-14 from the stripe including 6-of-6 against Hollins.

NICCI MOATS, Roanoke, Junior, Center
January 10, 2011Moats, a junior from Blue Ridge, Va., posted a pair of double-doubles to help the Maroons to two ODAC victories over Bridgewater and Washington and Lee. Moats tossed in 21 points to go with 11 rebounds (five offensive), four blocks and four steals in Roanoke's 65-63 win over the Eagles. Moats provided the deciding score, hitting a lay-up with 0.9-seconds showing on the game clock. Moats followed up that showing with 15 points and 11 boards (five offensive) in a 68-61 win over the Generals. She turned away three shots in that outing, also adding a pair of steals. She collected two assists in each contest as well. Moats and Jasmine Greene from Hollins lead the ODAC with four double-doubles. Moats tops the league in rebounds (10.4 rpg) and blocked shots (3.2 bpg).

KATY WILSON, Washington and Lee, Sophomore, Forward
January 03, 2011Wilson, a sophomore from Chattanooga, Tenn., helped lead the Generals to a 64-52 victory over Apprentice School on Dec. 30. Wilson led all scorers with 16 points, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. She also posted a game-high nine rebounds, while adding four assists and one steal. The Generals are now 5-2 on the season with ODAC matchups against Virginia Wesleyn, Roanoke and Bridgewater on tap this week.

JORDAN BURKHOLDER, Bridgewater, Senior, Forward
December 20, 2010Burkholder, a senior from Bridgewater, Va., picks up her second weekly award of the season. Burkholder was impressive for the Eagles in their three victories this week, averaging 20.7 points and six steals per game. Burkholder opened the week with a 20-point, eight steal performance against Averett, before turning in a monster game in the opening contest of the Cruzin' Classic in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Burkholder dropped 27 points, recorded six steals and five assists against the Spartans on Saturday. On Sunday, she knocked in 15 points to go with five boards, five assists and four steals. For the week, Burkholder averaged 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

JAZLYN GIBBS, Guilford, Junior, Guard
December 13, 2010Gibbs, a junior from Greensboro, N.C., averaged 19 points, 2.0 steals and 4.5 rebounds in Guilford’s 1-1 week. She scored a team-high 18 points and shot 50-percent (6-of-12) from the floor in Guilford’s game at Roanoke. Gibbs also had five rebounds and two steals in the contest. She sparked Guilford’s comeback win over Averett with a game-high 20 points. She added four rebounds and two steals to the win. The victory marked her fourth 20-point game of the year and her seventh game in double-figure scoring.

JORDAN BURKHOLDER, Bridgewater, Senior, Forward
December 06, 2010Burkholder, a senior from helped guide the BC women’s basketball team to a 3-0 week, averaging 18.7 points per game along the way. The conference scoring leader tossed in 16 points on Monday night as the Eagles took down crosstown rival Eastern Mennonite before turning in a 20 point, 10 rebound double-double on Wednesday night against Virginia Wesleyan. On Saturday against Randolph, Burkholder scored 20 points and recorded five assists as the Eagles remained unbeaten. For the week, Burkholder averaged 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 2.0 assists.

JENNY LOGAN, Bridgewater, Junior, Guard
November 29, 2010Logan, a junior from Luray, Va., matched her career-high with 23 points on Tuesday in Bridgewater’s 88-70 victory over Lynchburg. Logan knocked down 11 in the first half of Tuesday’s game before rounding out the second half with a dozen as the Eagles got off on the right foot in the 2010-11 conference opener. Logan grabbed six rebounds, including five offensive boards, and tallied a game-high six assists with two steals for the Eagles in the win. She shot 9-of-12 from the field and connected on 5-of-7 from the foul line.

MEG INGRAM, Washington and Lee, Junior, Guard
November 22, 2010Ingram, a junior from Greensboro, N.C., led the Generals in scoring during two contests against ranked opponents No. 17 Mary Washington and No. 4 Christopher Newport, with W&L going 1-1 in those contests. Against Mary Washington, Ingram finished with a team-high 18 points and five assists, while also collecting one block and one rebound. Playing CNU, Ingram scored a team-high 22 points and also finished with team-highs in blocks (3) and steals (5) in addition to dishing out four assists and one rebound. In the contest against CNU, Ingram tied a career-high with five steals while setting a career-high with three blocks. Ingram moved into the Top 10 all-time leading scorers at W&L with her 18 points at Mary Washington (791 points), and after the CNU contest she is now just nine points out of ninth place with 813 points and one assist shy of fifth place on the all-time leaderboard with 214.
