Jones, a junior from Ellicott City, Md., helped the
Marlins to a 73-60 triumph over Methodist University for the
squad's third-straight win. Jones posted a game-best 20
points in 23 minutes off the bench for Virginia Wesleyan. She
was 8-of-13 from the field, canning a trio of three-pointers in the
process. She helped VWC to a seven-point first half advantage
with 18 markers in the opening 20 minutes. She further
stuffed the stat sheets with three rebounds, three assists and just
as many steals. For the season, Jones is averaging 9.5 points
and is tied for eighth in the league with 12 made
three-pointers.
