Kaitlyn Lehan, Bridgewater, Jr., Center

Lehan, a junior from Virginia Beach, Va., put together a superior low-post week in the Eagles' 1-1 showing over a pair of conference games. Lehan averaged 23.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 7.5 blocked shots per game while shooting 54.3-percent from the field and 88.9-percent from the foul line. In a 74-66 win over Shenandoah, Lehan dropped in a career-best 30 points on 12-of-16 from the field and 6-of-6 from the stripe. She added a career-high 17 rebounds, two assits, and blocked eight shots. Lehan was back at it in a 74-69 setback to Randolph as she posted 16 points, 16 rebounds, two assists and seven more blocked shots. For the season, Lehan leads the ODAC with 87 blocked shots, which is 40 more than the next closest player. She is averaging 9.0 points per game and is sixth in rebounding at 8.5 boards per contest. 

Women's Basketball Weekly Notes

- Eastern Mennonite guard Myneshia Walker helped the Royals extend their winning streak to five games beginning with 30 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field and 9-of-12 from the stripe in an 83-55 win over Virginia Wesleyan. She pulled down nine rebounds and came away with two assists. In an 87-72 win at Roanoke, she scored 16 points with three more three-pointers to go with seven boards and two steals.

- Emory & Henry forward Taylor Blevins was solid in two wins for the Wasps. She opened with 21 points on 8-of-12 from the field with six boards, three assists, and two blocked shots. She continued her hot shooting in a 64-40 win at Shenandoah, going 6-of-7 from the field towards 14 points. She added four boards to her stat line.

- Guilford win Anais Weatherly moved into Guilford's top-10 in scoring with 23 combined points over two wins last week. She went for 13 points and 12 boards with four assists and three steals in a 58-48 win over Lynchburg. She followed with 10 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three more steals in a 59-55 win at Randolph-Macon

- Forward Molly Shephard helped Lynchburg to a 1-1 week with a pair of 50-plus percent shooting days. She went 5-of-9 frm the field towards 12 points with two boards in a 58-48 setback at Guilford. She was 5-of-10 from the field towards 13 points with seven boards in a 65-43 victory at Hollins.

- Randolph picked up two ODAC wins last week to into a tie for sixth in the league thanks in part o forward Alexis Calloway. She scored 10 points wot with 10 rebounds and two assists in a 55-53 win over Hollins. Her two free throws with 3.3-seconds to play sealed the WildCats' win. In a 74-69 triumph at Bridgewater, she went 6-of-9 from the field on the way to 15 points with eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

- Randolph-Macon forward Kelly Williams increased her double-doubles streak to 12 games despite the Yellow Jackets' two losses. In a 74-68 setback at Washington and Lee, she scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds with two steals and three blocked shots. She made 8-of-10 from the foul line in addition to going 6-of-11 from the field. In a 69-55 loss to Guilford, she was 7-of-8 from the field and 9-of-10 from the stripe on the way to 23 points. She added 13 boards and two more blocked shots. She has 17 double-doubles in 20 games played.

- Virginia Wesleyan guad Jayla Harris averaged 23 points over two games last week. She notched 11 points with three boards in an 83-55 loss at Eastern Mennonite. She followed that with 35 points, five boards, and three steals in a 72-64 win over Washington and Lee. She was 13-of-13 from the foul line, becoming the eighth player in conference history to post a perfect day at the line with at least 10 attempts.

- Washington and Lee guard Emily Perszyk posted two big scoring days in Generals 1-1 week. She dropped in 37 points, tying for second-most in W&L history. She was 9-of-15 from the field and canned 17-of-19 from the line, tying her own school records for free throws made and attempted in a game. In a 72-64 loss at Virginia Wesleyan, she scored 25 points on 7-of-17 from the field and 11-of-12 from line, giving her a weekly showing of 28-of-31 from the charity stripe. She added six boards and three assists in that game. She is second in Division III in free throw percentage (.914).
