W&L Women's Lacrosse Earns NCAA First-Round Bye

Generals Play Winner of Amherst and Endicott

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the pairings for the 2008 Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament and Washington and Lee earned a first-round bye. The Generals will play the winner of Amherst and Endicott at Franklin & Marshall on Sat., May 10.

The sixth-ranked Generals (17-2) received an automatic bid to the tournament after winning their sixth-straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title.

Ninth-ranked Amherst (13-3) lost to Trinity in double-overtime, 10-9, in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) semifinals on Saturday, while Endicott (15-5) won its third-consecutive The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) crown on Saturday with a 7-6 win over Roger Williams.
