Bereit, a sophomore from Latrobe, Pa., helped lead Shenandoah to a pair of ODAC wins over the past week. She opened the stanza with two goals and an assist in an 11-7 win over Washington and Lee. She was 1-of-1 on free-position shots and corralled a draw. Bereit followed that with a hat-trick and two helpers in an 11-5 Hornets’ win over Sweet Briar over the weekend. She was 2-of-3 on free-position tries, while grabbing three draws and two ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers. Bereit is currently second for Shenandoah with 44 points on 28 goals and 16 assists.

Carli Bafford, Bridgewater (Va.)

Bafford led BC to a 1-1 week with seven goals and two assists to
go with four groundballs, four draw controls and three caused
turnovers. In a 15-8 win over VWC, she had three goals and a
pair of helpers. In a 15-14 loss to Lynchburg, Bafford
notched four goals with four groundballs, three draws and three
caused turnovers.
E'leyna Garcia, Guilford - (Jr, A -
Plantation, Fla., 22)
In Guilford’s only action of the week, Garcia scored eight
goals and corralled nine draws in a 15-11 win over
Randolph-Macon. She broke her own school record for points in
a season in the process, now with 82 points on 72 goals and 10
assists. She is also tied for the GC record with 226 career
points (Mary Hutchins ’08). She has now scored a goal
in 46 straight games. Her first goal against R-MC came
10-seconds into the contest.
Bri Slate, Lynchburg - (Jr, M -
Charlottesville, VA, 9)
Slate scored five times to lead Lynchburg to a pair of wins in
ODAC play last week. She had a hat-trick in a 14-12 win at
Randolph-Macon, and then followed that with two more goals in a
15-14 triumph at Bridgewater.
Jenelle Whitman, Randolph-Macon - (Fr, M
- Silver Spring, MD, 21)
Whitman led R-MC’s offense with five goals and four assists
in a 0-2 week. She scored three times with one assist and 10
draw controls in a 14-12 setback against Lynchburg. She
notched a pair of goals and three helpers in a 15-11 loss at
Guilford.
Allison Bonanno, Roanoke - (Jr, -
Ridgewood, NJ, 11)
Bonanno posted three goals and 10 assists in a 1-1 week for
RC. The 10 helpers moved her into a tie for third all-time in
the ODAC and tied the Roanoke record with 132 with former standout
Gina Valles. Bonanno had nine assists in a 19-4 win over
Sweet Briar. She had two goals in that game, adding one goal
and another assist in a 16-7 loss to CNU. Bonanno has also
set the RC single-season assists record (53).
