Virginia Wesleyan Falls to Brandeis in NCAA Women's Soccer First Round
TRENTON, N.J. --- The Virginia Wesleyan College women's soccer team lost to Brandeis, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament.

Both teams brought intensity on the defensive side of the field in the first half. There were no goals scored until the 55:47 mark in the second half.

Hannah Maatallah scored her first goal of the game for Brandeis by making a spin move at the top of the box and kicking the ball into the back of the net. Moments later, Maatallah scored off a scramble play in the box assisted by Cidney Moscovitch.
Samantha Schwartz scored for the Judges at the 69:11 mark. Haliana Burhans attempted a shot on goal and Schwartz was there for the rebound.

The Marlins conclude their season with a 12-6-3 record and had an unbeaten regular season mark in conference play.
