The #ODAC continued its discussions on mental health during the Division III SAAC mental health social media campaign with former Randolph-Macon women's soccer player Madison Burns. "Maddie" was a member of the D-III SAAC for three years and served as the national SAAC chair for a year thru January 2020. She was integral to the planning and implementation of the current campaign. #BreakTheStigma #whyd3 |

Two ODAC standouts earned recognition in the final set of awards announced by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) on Thursday night. Randolph-Macon forward Gabby Nelson and Washington and Lee defender Emily Roche' earned Second Team All-America laurels. |

Senior forward Gabby Nelson (Clover, Va./Halifax County) recorded three shots and had a pair of shots on goal in the first half, and senior Christina Newman (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) registered four saves in the first 45 minutes, as the 13th-ranked Randolph-Macon women's soccer team saw its record-setting season come to an end in a 4-0 decision at top-ranked Messiah on Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. |

The University of Lynchburg and Messiah College played to a 2-2 tie thru 90 minutes of regulation and a pair of sudden-victory 10-minute overtime periods in the round of 16 in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament at Christopher Newport on Friday evening. Lynchburg made three kicks while Messiah missed twice and had a third save by Delia LoSapio (pictured) to advance the Hornets to the sectional finals. |

Two ODAC women's soccer standouts took home impressive dual-emphasis honors on Tuesday afternoon as Lynchburg College centerback Emily Maxwell and Shenandoah University back Alex Wessel were named Academic All-Americans by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Maxwell earned a spot on the second team, while Wessel was tabbed to the third team. |

Lynchburg College centerback Emily Maxwell added to a rather lengthy list of awards on Thursday night as she was tabbed a First Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA). This marks her third straight appointment to a soccer coaches organization All-American team, joining a first team nod in 2015 and second team selection last season. |

Stephanie Webb became Guilford College’s 10th head women’s soccer coach in the program’s 32-year history Monday. The appointment marks the first college head-coaching position for the former Queens University of Charlotte assistant. She replaces Michael Shenigo, who resigned in March to become the goalkeepers’ coach for the University of Delaware’s women’s soccer team. |

Jones, who has spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, will begin her duties at E&H on March 1. |

That season's version of Hornets went undefeated on the way to capturing the program's first national title in penalty kicks over William College. It is the first time in Hornet women's soccer program history that LC had two members on the first team in the same season. |

Former assistant coach Eric Struble has been named the interim head soccer coach at Sweet Briar College, replacing Kevin Fabulich. Struble will organize and coach the team's non-traditional practice sessions in the spring, along with continuing recruiting efforts for the remainder of the 2014-15 school year.Fabulich, who led the Vixen program for the past eight years, has accepted the position of Executive Director at Central Virginia United Soccer Club in Lynchburg, Va. |

Lynchburg College senior forward Angela Bosco was named the Division III National Player of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of the America (NSCAA). Bosco led the ODAC in points (76), goals scored (30) and assists (16), helping lead the Hornets to the NCAA Division III national title and an undefeated record (27-0-1). |

Eastern Mennonite University has announced the hiring of Ted Erickson as the new head women's soccer coach. Erickson, a 2005 EMU alum, becomes the fifth head coach in the history of the program. He has been the head coach of boys' soccer at Harrisonburg High School since 2007. During those same years, Erickson has also been an assistant coach for EMU's women's and men's programs, as well as with the Bridgewater College men. |

Lynchburg College women's soccer hadn't lost a game all season coming into its third round contest against Johns Hopkins University in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Blue Jays got the best of the Hornets on Saturday by a 3-1 scoreline, making LC's first loss of the season also the capper to its season. The Hornets finished with a 21-1-3 record, tied for the most wins in program history. |

Eastern Mennonite has announced the hiring of Sue Kolb as its new women's soccer coach. She has been the assistant women's coach at Bluffton University the past two seasons, with this being her first collegiate head coaching position. Kolb is the program's fourth head coach as it heads into its 13th year of existence. |

Kwiatkowski also headlines 11 ODAC student-athletes who were named to the South Atlantic All-Region Teams, including four on the first team.
