Brittany Hammons, Randolph, Sr., Midfielder

Hammons, a senior from Newport News, Va., put together a strong opening weekend to help the WildCats to a pair of wins to begin the 2014 season.  On Friday, Hammons tallied the game's lone goal in a 1-0 victory against Ferrum College.  She followed that with two goals and an assist in a 7-1 triumph over Gallaudet University.  Hammons leads the early season ODAC statistical rankings with seven total points.

Women's Soccer Honor Roll

Sarah Brennan, Bridgewater (Fr., F - Annandale, Va.)
Brennan kicked off her collegiate career in style with a pair of goals in two BC wins.  She notched a 35th-minute tally in a 2-0 victory over Salisbury, and followed that with the lone goal in a 1-0 triumph over Meredith.

Jade Woll, Lynchburg (Jr., M - Woodbridge, Va.)
Woll helped the nationally 18th-ranked Hornets to a pair of wins to open 2014.  She scored once in a 3-0 win over Southern Virginia, and then capped her Shellenberger Classic performance with two tallies in a 6-0 victory over Averett.

Bridget Panas, Randolph-Macon (Jr., F - Goochland, Va.)
Panas notched the game's only goal as Randolph-Macon opened its season with a 1-0 victory over N.C. Wesleyan.

Marlana Barnard, Roanoke (Jr., M - Vienna, Va.)
Barnard helped the Maroons to two wins to start the new season.  She recorded a hat-trick in a 7-0 win over Averett in game one of the Shellenberger Classic.  Her attacking aided RC to a 2-1 triumph over Southern Virginia in the second contest.

Patricia Garrett, Sweet Briar (Fr., M - Appomattox, Va.)
Garrett had a hand in all three goals of the Vixens season-opening 3-0 win at William Peace.  Garrett scored twice and dished out an assist, giving her five points to start 2014.

Megan Gerhart, Virginia Wesleyan (So., GK - Lansdale, Pa.)
Gerhart made eight saves guarding VWC's net as the Marlins start the season 1-1.  She made three stops in a 2-0 win over DeSales.  She followed that with five saves in a 2-0 loss to 11th-ranked Emory.
