Toni McDonald, Randolph-Macon, Fr., No. 3 Singles, No. 1 Doubles

McDonald, a freshman from Richmond, Va., put together a 5-0 week in helping Randolph-Macon to a 3-0 week that included a 5-0 win over Shenandoah to move on to the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament.  She competed at #3 singles and #1 doubles all week, going 2-0 in singles play.  She defeated her singles opponents from Guilford (6-1, 6-0) and Bridgewater (6-2, 6-4) and was leading 6-1, 5-0 against SU when the match was ended due to reaching a point of completion.  McDonald and partner Angelina Sportelli went 3-0 at #1 doubles, boasting wins of 8-1, 8-6 and 8-2 over their opponents from GC, BC and SU.

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Maria Hawkins, Bridgewater (Fr. - Silver Spring, Md.)
Hawkins went 5-1 in the Eagles 1-2 week, competing at #2 singles and #1 doubles.  She earned singles wins against Randolph-Macon (1-6, 7-6, 6-1), Roanke (6-2, 6-4) and Randolph (6-3, 6-1), with the latter helping the Eagles to a 5-2 win over the WildCats in the ODAC quarterfinals.  Hawkins and partner Katie Gordon competed at #1 doubles and posted a 2-1 record with a loss to R-MC (8-6) and wins against RC (8-4) and RAND (8-4).

Brooke Donnelly, Washington and Lee (Fr. - Kennesaw, Ga.)
Donnelly helped the Generals to a 3-0 week with a 5-0 showing as she went 2-0 at #3 and #4 singles and 3-0 at #3 and #2 doubles.  She opened with a 6-2, 6-0 win at #3 singles against Roanoke, and followed that with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Sewanee at #4 singles.  She did not compete in singles action in W&L's 5-0 quarterfinal win over Guilford.  In doubles play with partner Clair Cahill, the duo won 8-0 and 8-3 at #3 against RC and Sewanee.  They posted an 8-0 win at #2 against GC.
