Victoria Coffee, Hollins, Sr., No. 1 Singles, No. 1/2 Doubles

Coffee, a senior from Plano, Texas, put together a strong week from the top flights and helped lead Hollins to a 2-1 week against ODAC competition.  Coffee was 3-0 at #1 singles and 2-1 splitting time at #1 and #2 doubles as HU defeated Virginia Wesleyan (7-2) and Guilford (5-4) in addition to a loss against Roanoke (8-1).  Coffee won 6-3, 6-1, in singles play against the Maroons, adding 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2, triumphs over VWC and GC, respectively.  She and Tiffany Hodges fell to Roanoke (8-3) at #1 singles, but rebounded for an 8-4 over VWC at the top flight.  Coffee was then joined by Amelia Verkerk in an 8-3 win over the Quakers at #2 doubles.  Hollins' 2-1 week moved them from the bottom position to seventh in the league standings.

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Heather Parra, Randolph (So. - Wilmington, N.C.)
Parra went 3-0 at #4 singles and 3-0 at #2 doubles as the WildCats defeated Sweet Briar (8-1) and Guilford (7-2) before falling to Randolph-Macon (7-2) last week.  Parra posted singles wins of 6-0, 7-6 (SBC), 6-2, 6-1 (GC) and 7-5, 7-6 (RMC).  She and Sarah Parker won 8-1, 8-2, and 8-5, respectively, in doubles play.

Kelsie Grice, Randolph-Macon
Grice went 2-0 at #2 singles and and 2-0 at #1 doubles as R-MC topped Sweet Briar (8-1) and Randolph (7-2).  Grice won 6-0, 6-1, and 6-2, 6-0, in her singles matches, and joined Angelina Sportelli for 8-3 and 8-0 triumphs in doubles play.

Kaitlyn Diskerud, Roanoke (Jr. - Hershey, Pa.)
Diskerud won 6-2, 6-1 at #3 singles and joined Alexandra Martin for an 8-2 win at #2 doubles in the Maroons 8-1 triumph over Hollins.

Amy Rapp, Shenandoah (Jr. - Pennsville, N.J.)
Rapp helped SU to team wins over Sweet Briar (6-3), Mary Baldwin (9-0) and Lynchburg (8-1) by going 3-0 at #4 singles and 3-0 at #3 doubles.  Rapp posted singles wins of 6-1, 6-4 (SBC), 6-0, 6-2 (MBC), and 6-0, 6-0 (LC).  She and Caitlin Tilton won 8-0 in all three doubles outings.

Cailtin Delmas, Sweet Briar (Jr. - Asheville, N.C.)
Delmas posted a pair of victories at #1 singles, defeating Randolph-Macon (6-3, 5-7, 1-0) and Virginia Wesleyan (6-3, 6-1) as the Vixens went 1-1 on the week.  Delmas and Georgia Kirkland lost 8-2 at #2 doubles to R-MC, but rebounded for an 8-3 win over VWC.
