Shifflett, a sophomore from Grottoes, Va., helped the Eagles to a pair of conference victories last week as she went 4-0 combined at #3 singles and #2 doubles. Shifflett and partner Stephanie Barton won 8-6 in doubles play against Randolph College. Shifflet then came thru with a 6-3, 6-0 victory in singles action for another part towards Bridgewater's 8-1 team victory. She again racked up two points in BC's 9-0 triumph over Emory & Henry. She won 6-1, 6-0 in her singles match and then joined Barton for an 8-1 triumph in doubles play.

Women's Tennis Weekly Honor Roll

Christina Harris, LC: stayed unbeaten this spring with an 8-3 #1 doubles win with Caroline Guill and a 6-0, 6-1 #1 singles victory in LC's 5-4 team triumph over Virginia Wesleyan.

Stephanie Yeager, R-MC: won 6-0, 6-0 at #2 singles and joined Kristin Dantzler for an 8-2 victory at #1 doubles in R-MC's team win over Shenandoah.

Jessica Kennedy, RC: posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles and partnered with Avery Smith for an 8-1 win at #1 doubles in RC's 9-0 team victory over Guilford.

Lily Horsley, W&L: Helped W&L to a 2-1 week with a 2-1 showing in singles play and a 3-0 doubles mark.  Won 5-7, 6-0, 10-6 at #3 singles and 8-1 with Emily Kochard at #2 doubles in an 8-1 win over Randolph-Macon. Joined Valeria Marshall for an 8-4 win at #2 doubles to go with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 loss at #4 singles in a team loss to 19th-ranked MIT. Rebounded for a 6-2, 6-2 win at #4 singles and an 8-3 victory with Marshall at #2 doubles in a 7-2 victory over Bates.
