Michelle Fleenor, Washington and Lee, Sr., #1 Singles, #1 Doubles

Fleenor, a senior from Chattanooga, Tenn., put the finish touches on her regular season with a 5-1 combined week at #1 singles and #1 doubles. She and Mary Hampton McNeal won 8-2 over Shenandoah in doubles play. Fleenor added a 6-0, 6-0, victory at top-flight singles for a 9-0 team victory. She helped the Generals finish their ODAC slate at 11-0 with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 singles win over Christina Harris from Lynchburg, making her the first player to defeat LC's top option in singles play this season. Fleenor and Ashton Jenne added an 8-3 win in doubles play towards a 7-2 team victory. Nationally 15th-ranked Washington and Lee then came up just short, 5-4, in a showdown with #19 Mary Washington. Fleenor won 6-3, 6-4 in singles play, but she and Jenne fell, 8-2, to regionally second-ranked duo Ashley Barrow and Kait Brogan. Fleenor enters the ODAC Tournament 15-4 overall in singles play including 12-3 at #1 and 5-0 versus league foes. She is 11-11 combined with three different partners in doubles action, all from the top flight.

Women's Tennis Weekly Honor Roll

Landon Aud, R-MC: went 5-0 combined in singles and doubles play at various ladder positions in R-MC's 3-0 week. Earned an 8-6 win with Sarah Hinson at #3 doubles to go with a 6-3, 6-1, win at #5 singles in a 6-3 team victory over Lynchburg. Didn't play a singles match, but joined Hinson for an 8-0 win at #3 doubles in an 8-1 team decision over Guilford. Joined Hinson for a third win, 8-3, at #1 doubles to go with a 6-2, 6-3 win at #1 singles in a 6-3 team triumph over Hollins.
