Phillips, a senior from Tampa, Florida, averaged 13 kills over three matches (3.5/game) and hit .283 for the week. She had 16 kills and hit .314 in a 3-1 win over Bridgewater and added 19 kills and hit .472 in a 3-1 win over Marietta. Additionally, she chipped in 12 digs in the win over BC. Phillips had 8 kills and two blocks in a win over Mary Baldwin.

Rachel Fertitta, Emory & Henry College, Sophomore -
Middle Hitter
The Wasps increased their overall record to 17-5 with 3-0
wins over Sweet Briar and Va. Wesleyan and a 1-3 loss to
Randolph-Macon. Fertitta led the Wasps this week with 5.00 kills
per game, a .400 hitting pct., 1.33 blocks per game, 0.9 digs per
game and 6.17 points per game.
Christine Bottles, Eastern Mennonite University, Senior
- Setter
Bottles had a fantastic match in EMU's final home
contest against Shenandoah as she had 39 assists (9.75/game), 17
digs (4.25/game) and four service aces. For the week, Bottles
averaged 7.8 assists and 3.2 digs per game.
Emma Gunn, Guilford College, Sophomore - Middle
Hitter
Gunn led Guilford in a 2-0 week with 2.86 kills per set on
.613 hitting, topped the team with 0.71 blocks per set, recorded 20
kills in 31 attacks with one error and averaged 3.29 points per set
for Guilford. She hit .611 with a career-high 12 kills and
four blocks in the Quakers' 3-1 win over Randolph and totaled 14.5
points in the match. Gunn had eight kills on 13 attempts with
no errors in the Quakers' 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite that
extended the Quakers' winning streak to four, their longest since
2002. She also hit a career-high .615 in the match.
Elena Kritter, Lynchburg College, Sophomore - Outside
Hitter
Kritter had an outstanding week as the Hornets split
a pair of matches. She paced LC with 18 kills and just one error at
Virginia Wesleyan College Wednesday night with 22 digs. She
followed with 14 kills and 12 digs in a five-set win over Mary
Washington Saturday. For the week, she posted a .475 hitting
percentage and 34 digs.
Kristin Spinner, Randolph College, Junior - Middle
Hitter
Spinner led the WildCats with 29 kills and 40 digs over a
1-2 week as the WildCats recorded their first ODAC win in 2009.
Raena Winton, Randolph-Macon College, Junior - Outside
Hitter
Winton helped R-MC to a 2-0 week in the ODAC with 21 kills
and a hitting percentage of .370 clip. In a win at EMU, Winton had
eight kills and two digs. In a four set win over E&H she
registered 13 kills, five blocks and two digs.
