ODAC Volleyball Players of the Week Archive

Parker, a senior from Andover, N.J., was at her prolific best in a 3-1 week for Randolph-Macon that included a 2-1 showing in a strong field at the Emory Invitational hosted by Emory University. Parker collected 78 kills (6.00/set) over the four matches with 28 digs (2.15/set), eight blocks, and five aces on the way to 87.5 points earned (6.7/set). She played just one set of the Yellow Jackets 3-0 win at Hollins, posting a trio of kills with three aces and a dig. Parker began her All-Tournament Team performance at Emory with 15 kills and seven digs in a 3-0 loss to nationally eighth-ranked Berry College. She accounted four 15 points in the match. She then registered 25 kills in a 3-1 win over Oglethorpe University, the first of two matches on the second day. She picked up 12 digs and posted a half-dozen block assists with an ace on the way to 29.0 points (7.3/set). Parker then posted her fourth 30-plus kill match of the season with 35 winners on a .303 attack percentage in a 3-2 victory over Birmingham-Southern to cap the regular season. The 35 kills are the second-most in NCAA Division III to her previous season-high of 36 strikes at Washington and Lee earlier this month. She added eight digs, two assists, two blocks, and an ace to account for 37.5 points (7.5/set), matching her season-high. For the year, Parker leads the ODAC in kills (495), kills per set (5.32), points (553.5), and points per set (6.0). She is second in total attacks (1,150) and sixth in attack percentage (.276). Her 495 digs are already fourth-most in ODAC history and second-most in the Randolph-Macon record books with at least one match in the ODAC Tournament still to be played. The ODAC record stands at 517 winners by Heather Cook from Roanoke College in 2004, while the R-MC record is owned by Courtney Lowers at 506 kills in 2015.

Kirchner, a sophomore from Williamsport, Md., was active both offensively and defensively from the middle of the front row in helping Roanoke to a 3-1 week. Kirchner registered three straight matches of 12 kills with attack percentages of at least .357 in all outings. She collected 43 total kills (3.31/set) at a .447 clip with 14 blocks, 12 digs, and 10 aces towards 61.0 total points (4.7/set) earned. Kirchner opened with 12 kills on a .417 attack percentage in a 3-0 loss at Salem College. She added an assist to her line in that match. She had 12 kills on 22 swings towards a .409 hitting clip in a 3-0 victory at Hollins. She added four aces, three digs, and one block to her effort. Kirchner registered 20.0 points in a 3-1 victory at Goucher. That included 12 kills on just 16 swings at a .625 attack pct. She produced eight blocks and seven digs to go with three aces. She again had three service winners in a 3-0 victory over Rutgers-Camden. She hammered seven kills at a .357 attack percentage with five more blocks, a pair of digs, and an assist. For the season, Kirchner leads the ODAC in hitting percentage (.343) and is third in assisted blocks (55), points (330.5), and points per set (3.8). Her 3.01 kills per set and 259 total winners rank seventh and eighth in the conference, respectively. She is fifth in total blocks (63), eighth in blocks per set (0.73), and ninth in aces (36).

Heifner, a junior from Nashville, Tenn., picks up her first ODAC weekly award of the season after helping Washington and Lee to a 4-0 week that included a pair of ODAC victories. The Generals are 14-8 on the season and tied atop the conference table with Virginia Wesleyan University at 9-1. Heifner, the 2021 ODAC Player of the Year, registered 89 kills (4.68/set) to go with 55 digs (2.89/set), nine aces, and four blocks towards an even 100.0 points (5.3) over the four outings. She opened with 26 kills at a .351 attack percentage in a 3-2 win at Guilford. She added 15 digs and an ace along with two assists. Heifner then led W&L to a 3-2 win over Randolph-Macon. She collected 11 winners with 15 digs and two aces. On the week, Heifner opened two non-conference victories with 22 kills in a 3-2 triumph over the University of Scranton. She added 16 digs, two aces, and two blocks to her line. She capped the week with 14 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Stevenson University. She chipped in four aces and two blocks. For the season, Heifner leads the ODAC in total attacks (1027) and is second in kills (328), points (367.5), and points per set (4.0), third in kills per set (3.57), sixth in digs (302), and 10th in digs per set (3.28).

Marlowe, a junior from Danville, Va., helped Averett to a pair of ODAC victories to stay in the mix near the top of the ODAC standings. The Cougars defeated Washington and Lee, 3-2, and Guilford, 3-0, with the win over W&L snapping the Generals 31-match ODAC regular season winning streak. Marlowe registered 32 kills at 4.0 per set and a .287 attack percentage. She chipped in four digs and six total blocks on the way to 35.5 points earned at 4.4 per frame. Marlowe registered 18 a match-high 18 kills against the Generals with a .375 attack percentage. She added a dig and two total blocks to account for 19.5 points. Against Guilford, Marlowe notched 14 kills on 40 swings with three digs and four blocks on the way to 16.0 points. For the season, Marlowe is sixth in the ODAC in kills (203) and eighth in kills per set (3.08) and attacks (504). She is ninth in points (220.0) and 10th in points per set (3.3).

Hayes, a junior from Boone, N.C., was a strong engine for Bridgewater's offense in a pair of victories last week a key ODAC triumph with in the regular season finale. Hayes dished out 79 assists at 9.88 per set and chipped in 22 assists (2.75/set) with five kills, two aces, and two blocks. She registered 41 assists with 12 digs, three kills and an ace in a 3-2 non-conference win over Mary Washington. That victory marked the first win for BC over UMW since the 2013 campaign. Hayes then handed out 38 assists at 12.67 per set and helped Bridgewater's offense to a .333 team attack percentage in a crucial 3-0 victory at Eastern Mennonite. She added 10 digs, two kills, two blocks, and an ace as the Eagles secured the fourth seed and an important hosting opportunity in the quarterfinals of the upcoming ODAC Tournament. For the season, Hayes is third in the ODAC in assists (779) and fourth in assists per set (8.95).

Heifner, a sophomore from Nashville, Tenn., picks up her third weekly award of the season after leading Washington and Lee to a 3-0 week that included a win over Randolph-Macon to take over sole possession of first place in the ODAC standings. Heifner collected 49 kills at 4.45 per set with 32 digs (2.91/set), seven blocks, four aces, and four assists over the three matches. She accounted for 56.5 points at 5.1 per set. Heifner led the Generals to a 3-2 win over Randolph-Macon during the midweek with a career-high 24 kills, the 10th-most in a single match in program history. She added 15 digs, two aces, and two blocks on the way to 27 total points at 5.4 per set. On the weekend, Heifner combined for 25 kills 29.5 points in 3-0 victories over Widener University and Cabrini University. She had 13 kills with 11 digs and three blocks against WU. She registered 12 kills with six digs, two blocks, and two aces against CU. The three wins improve to 21-5 overall and 10-0 in league play with one ODAC match remaining in the regular season. Heifner leads the ODAC in kills (323) and points earned (366.5). She is second in points per set (4.4) and is tied for second in kills per set (3.89). 

Koch, a senior from Raleigh, N.C., picks up her second weekly award of the season after leading Randolph-Macon to a trio of ODAC victories. The Yellow Jackets have now won 10 straight matches and remain unbeaten in ODAC play at 9-0, tied with Washington and Lee atop the league table.* Koch was both prolific and efficient offensively and provided her usual stout net defense in 11 sets of action. She collected 42 kills (3.82/set) at a blistering .552 attack percentage to go with nine blocks on the way to earning 46.5 points (4.2/set) over the three matches. Koch opened with 12 kills against just one error in a 3-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite. She hit .579 for the match and chipped in three blocks and three digs. She was even more efficient in a 3-0 victory at Ferrum. She hammered 17 winners with two errors at a .652 clip. She added four blocks to bring her total to 19 points earned at 6.3 per set. Koch capped her week with 13 winners and a .440 attack percentage in a 3-2 win at Roanoke. She blocked a pair of Maroons' attacks and handed out an assist. For the season, Koch leads the ODAC with a .380 attack percentage with 181 kills (9th) against just 36 errors in 382 attacks. She is eighth in kills per set (2.78) and points earned (210.0). She is ninth in assisted blocks (38) and 10th in points per set (3.2). *Randolph-Macon and Washington and Lee square off on Wednesday, 10/20, in Lexington.

Mahoney, a senior from Falls Church, Va., helped lead Virginia Wesleyan to a 3-1 week that feature a pair of ODAC victories and a split in a non-conference tri-match at Stevenson University. Mahoney, a right-sided player, registered 32 kills at 2.67 per set with a .357 attack percentage for the week. She also collected six aces and eight blocks over the four matches. She opened with eight kills at a .571 clip to go with three digs and an ace in a 3-0 victory at Eastern Mennonite. She added seven more kills with four digs and two blocks in a 3-0 win at Shenandoah University. In the first contest of the tri-match against Catholic University, Mahoney hammered nine winners at a .368 mark with five blocks, four aces, and three digs in a 3-0 triumph over the Cardinals. She capped her Saturday with eight kills and a .389 attack percentage with two digs, a block, and an ace in a 3-0 setback to the host Mustangs. For the season, Mahoney has collected 138 kills at 2.21 per set. She has account for 175.0 points at 2.7 per set, which was bolstered this week by 43.0 points at 3.6 per set.

Berry, a senior from Charlottesville, Va., led the Washington and Lee volleyball team to three victories last week. She recorded a W&L record 13 blocks, to go with 15 kills, in a 3-2 victory at Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday. Berry followed that with 12 kills on 16 attempts (.688 hitting percentage), four blocks and six digs in a 3-0 win over Shenandoah. She also had seven kills and two blocks in a 3-0 victory against Lynchburg on Sunday. For the week, Berry had 34 kills (3.09 k/s) on a .397 hitting percentage to go with 19 blocks (1.73 b/s), 10 digs and five service aces. She currently leads the conference in hitting percentage (.327) and is second in blocks per set (1.18).

Hayes, a sophomore from Boone, N.C., helped Bridgewater improve its current run to five wins in six matches by going 3-0 against ODAC competition last week. Hayes keyed the Eagles offense with 97 assists over the three outings while adding in 26 digs, six kills, four blocks, and three aces. She started with 30 assists and a career-best 17 digs in a 3-1 win over previous ODAC second-place team Lynchburg. She tacked on two kills and an ace to her line. Bridgewater then hosted Guilford College and Randolph College in a tri-match and posted a pair of 3-0 wins. Hayes dished out 67 combined assists with 30 helpers against the Quakers and 37 versus the WildCats. She registered five digs, two aces, and a block against GC and chipped in four kills, four digs, and three blocks versus Randolph. For the season, Hayes is third in the ODAC in overall assists (317) and assists per set (8.57). She is ninth in service aces (16).

Drake, a junior from Newsoms, Va., helped Lynchburg rattled off three ODAC wins last week to improve to 8-4 over and 7-1 in ODAC play to take over solo third position in the league table. Drake hit .433 for the week with 3.20 kills per set and five total blocks towards 38.5 points earned over the three matches. Her week began with five kills from her right-side position to go with three digs and a pair of aces in a 3-1 win over Randolph-Macon. That victory snapped a three-game skid against the Yellow Jackets. Drake then exploded for 27 kills and just two errors in a tri-match sweep of Emory & Henry and Shenandoah. She went for 13 kills and a .500 attack percentage in match one against the Wasps. She tacked on two aces, two digs, and a pair of block assists. Against Shenandoah, Drake posted a .737 attack percentage powered by 14 kills and zero errors in 19 attacks. She added three block assists and a dig to her line. For the season, Drake is second in the ODAC in kills (113) and total points earned (133.0). She ranks third in attacks (289), eighth in assisted blocks (18), and ninth in total blocks (19).

Coss, a senior from Bowie, Md., helped lead Virginia Wesleyan to a pair of ODAC wins in a tri-match against Emory & Henry College at Randolph College. Coss opened with 12 kills and hit .286 in a 3-0 win over E&H. She registered a pair of block assists to go with a dig and was responsible for 13 points in the match at 4.3 per set. Against the host WildCats, Coss posted 11 kills and hit .333 in a 3-1 triumph. She added two block assists and two digs. She accounted for 12 points at 3.0 per set. For the season, Coss leads the ODAC in hitting percentage (.381), is fifth in kills per set (3.45), sixth in points per set (3.8) and eighth in kills (76).

Matalus, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colo., helped lead Virginia Wesleyan to four non-conference victories last week in prelude to the Marlins entering the ODAC Tournament as the #2 seed. Matalus, a middle hitter, registered 47 kills at 3.13 per set over the four matches, adding in 12 total blocks and attacking at a .379 clip. She opened with 11 kills and a .450 attack percentage to go with two assists and a block in a 3-0 victory over N.C. Wesleyan. She then had eight kills against just one error with four blocks in a 3-0 triumph over Averett. Play continued at Christopher Newport University as Matalus helped lead VWU to a 3-1 win over Salisbury and a 3-2 victory over the host Captains. She had 10 kills with four aces, five digs, and two blocks against the Sea Gulls, and then smacked 18 winners at a .500 clip with six digs and five blocks against CNU. For the season, Matalus is fourth in the ODAC in attack percentage (.328) and total points (394.0), fifth in kills (310), seventh in total blocks (84) and points per set (3.6), and eighth in kills per set (2.82).

Wolfe, a senior from Midlothian, Va., was a consistent force on the front line both offensively and defensively as the Yellow Jackets went 2-1 against a trio of strong opponents. Wolfe racked up 30 kills at a .296 attack percentage and racked up 12 total blocks over the three matches. She opened with 10 kills and three blocks in a 3-1 victory at Bridgewater. That win helped Randolph-Macon solidify its position at the top of the ODAC table. Wolfe maintained her consistency as R-MC went 1-1 at the Wid Guisler Invitational hosted by Juniata College. Wolfe registered 11 kills at a .333 hitting clip and collected four total blocks on a 3-1 setback to Arcadia University. She again hit at a .333 as she smacked 10 winners and posted five more blocks in the Yellow Jackets 3-2 upset of 16th-ranked Juniata. For the season, Wolfe has collected 207 kills at a .255 hitting percentage. She has accounted for 54 total blocks and 237.5 points.

Eucker, a senior from Lake Mary, Fla., put together a strong week in leading the Quakers to a trio of ODAC victories to keep Guilford in the top-four of the league table as the end of the regular season draws near. Eucker kept the offense churning with 127 assists over 13 sets for a 9.77 average and was not called for a single ball-handling error. She tacked on 41 digs at 3.15 per set and registered nine kills, three blocks, and a pair of service aces. Eucker opened with 38 assists and 15 digs in a 3-0 victory at Randolph. She added four kills without an error as well as an assisted block. During that contest, she became Guilford's all-time leader in career assists, a total which now stands at 2,954 helpers. The Quakers then returned to Randolph on the weekend for their scheduled quad-match with Bridgewater, Eastern Mennonite, and the host WildCats. Eucker handed out 40 assists to go with 11 digs and a pair of kills as the Quakers turned out a 3-2 victory over Bridgewater. Guilford again used five sets to take down Eastern Mennonite in their remaining match of the weekend. Eucker registered 49 assists along with 15 digs, three kills, two aces, and two blocks. For the season, Eucker is fourth in the ODAC with 581 assists at 6.92 per set, which also ranks fourth in the league.

Parker, a first-year from Andover, N.J., put up a big week against solid competition in helping Randolph-Macon roll to a 4-1 week that included a top-of-the-table ODAC victory. Parker registered 57 kills, 50 digs, and 12 aces on the way to accounting for 70.5 points over 19 sets of action. She opened with 10 kills and 10 digs with three aces in a 3-1 win at Virginia Wesleyan. That improved the Yellow Jackets league mark to 7-0 and locked with Bridgewater atop the ODAC standings. Parker and R-MC then made the trip to Colorado College for tournament play. In a 3-0 victory over Johnson & Wales (Denver), Parker hammered 12 kills at a .474 attack percentage. She added seven digs and three aces to her line. She went for six kills and five digs in a 3-0 loss to nationally eighth-ranked Colorado College. On day two of the invitational, Parker opened with 14 kills, 12 digs, and three more aces in a 3-1 victory over DePauw. She hit .343 in the final match against Illinois College, collecting 15 kills, 16 digs, and a fourth match with three aces in the Yellow Jackets 3-2 triumph. For the season, Parker is eighth in the ODAC in aces (32) and points per set (3.3) and is ninth in kills (186), kills per set (2.74), and total points (227.5).

Gaston, a junior from Mechanicsville, Va., picks up her third weekly award of the season after leading Bridgewater to a 3-1 week that included a pair of conference victories to help the Eagles lock up the third seed in the upcoming ODAC tournament. Gaston hammered 53 kills for the week at 4.08 per set and added 50 digs at 3.85 per set. She finished with seven total blocks and three aces to help account for 59.5 points at a 4.6 per set average. Gaston opened with 18 kills at a .516 hitting percentage to go with eight digs, four blocks, and two aces in a 3-0 win at Emory & Henry. She followed with 11 kills, 14 digs, two blocks, and an ace in a 3-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite. Gaston posted nine kills and nine digs in a 3-1 non-conference setback to St. Mary's (Md.), but helped the Eagles right the ship with 15 kills, 19 digs, and a block in a 3-0 non-conference victory over Lebanon Valley. Gaston finished the regular season #1 in the conference in total kills (392), attacks (1097), and points earned (437.5). She is second in kills per set (4.22) and points per set (4.7), sixth in digs per set (4.16), and seventh in total digs (387).

Webb, a junior from Thousand Oaks, Calif., put together a strong week to lead Washington and Lee to a trio of conference victories. Webb hammered out 35 kills at a 3.89 per-set clip with a .449 hitting percentage. She added 11 digs, six aces, and six blocks to help her to 45.0 points responsible at 5.0 per set. Webb opened with six kills against zero errors for a .462 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite. She added five aces and a block-assist in that match. Webb followed with 15 kills against just one error for a .500 percentage in a 3-0 victory over Hollins. She tacked on five digs, an ace, and two solo blocks to account for 6.0 points per set. The Generals capped their week with a 3-0 victory over Virginia Wesleyan. Webb had 14 kills and hit .393 while adding in five digs and a trio of assisted blocks. For the season, Webb has racked up 208 kills at 2.60 per set. She ranks sixth in the league with a .285 attack percentage and is eighth with 44 assisted blocks.

Gaston, a junior from Mechanicsville, Va., was both prolific and efficient offensively and strong on and off the net defensively in a trio of Bridgewater wins last week including a pair of ODAC victories. Gaston registered 52 kills at 5.78 per set and via a .416 hitting percentage on the way to racking up 56.0 points responsible at 6.2 per set. She added 43 total digs (4.78/set) and five total blocks to her stat line. In a 3-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan, Gaston hammered 19 kills at a .405 clip to go with 15 digs, an ace, and a block. She followed up with 15 kills and 16 digs with two blocks in a 3-0 non-conference win over Southern Virginia. Gaston capped her week with 18 kills on a .484 hitting percentage to go with 12 digs and two blocks in a 3-0 victory over Shenandoah. For the season, Gaston leads the ODAC in points per set (4.8) and is second in kills (296), kills per set (4.29), and total points (329.0).

Bailey, a freshman from Fincastle, Va., continues to produce for the Maroons as she picks up her third overall and second straight weekly award. Bailey helped Roanoke to a 2-1 week with three double-doubles including a pair of 20-20 matches resulting in 58 kills (4.83/set), 59 digs (4.92/set) and 61.0 points responsible (5.1/set). She also hit .307 over the three matches. Bailey opened with 21 kills, 23 digs, and two aces in a five-set loss to Washington and Lee. She went for 12 kills and 10 digs with an ace in a 3-0 triumph over Randolph. She then set new career-highs with 25 kills and 26 digs in a 3-1 victory over Southern Virginia. For the season, improved upon her ODAC leads in kills (269), kills per set (4.20), and points per set (4.6) while taking over the top spot in overall points (291.5).

Hall, a sophomore from Mechanicsville, Va., picks up her third weekly honor after racking up 48 kills, 19 digs and 49.0 total points in a 2-2 week for Randolph-Macon. Hall opened with 11 kills and four digs in the 3-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan, which put the finishing touches on an undefeated ODAC regular season. She then notched 11 kills with six digs in a 3-0 win over 24th-ranked Berry in the opening match of the Emory Invitational. Hall then busted loose for 20 kills, eight digs and a block in R-MC's 3-2 setback to eighth-ranked Emory. She finished her week with six kills and a block in a 3-0 loss to regionally sixth-ranked Birmingham Southern. For the season, Hall leads the ODAC in kills per set (3.27), is second in points per set (3.4), fifth in total kills (275), ninth in total points (289.5) and 10th in total attacks (722) and attack percentage (.237).

Guignon, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., blistered on the outside for Washington and Lee as the Generals racked up two more wins. Guignon accounted for 37 total points a 6.2 per set in a pair of 3-0 victories. She opened with 19 kills against just two errors while hitting .447 in a win over Averett. She added six digs and a pair of blocks. She followed that with 16 winners versus just one miscue for a .484 attack percentage. She chipped in 16 digs, two assists, and an ace. For the season, Guignon leads the ODAC in kills per set (3.27) and points per set (3.6), while ranking second in total points (282.0) and third in total kills (258) and total attacks (812).

Hall, a sophomore from Mechanicsville, Va., picks up her second weekly award after helping the Yellow Jackets take over sole possession of first place in the ODAC standings with their 3-2 victory at Washington and Lee. Hall led all players with 20 kills and 21.0 points earned in the five-set thriller that saw R-MC come back from 2-1 down after three sets. She hit .333 for the match with just four errors in 48 attacks. She added seven digs, two blocks and an ace to her stat line, which also featured a 4.2 points per set average. For the season, Hall leads the ODAC in kills per set (3.27) and points per set (3.5). She is sixth with 206 total kills and 10th with a .243 attack percentage.

Blackmore, a senior from Mechanicsville, Va., exploded for a high-volume double-double as the Maroons erased a 3-0 loss to Guilford earlier this season with a 3-2 triumph over the Quakers. Blackmore registered 28 kills to go with 18 digs. The 28 kills are the most in the ODAC this season and second-most in Roanoke history. It also ties for 13th as the sixth-best total in a five-set match in NCAA Division III this season. Blackmore committed just two errors to rack up a .456 attack percentage. She also tacked on a block-assist to bring her point total to 28.5 for the match and 5.7 per set. For the season, Blackmore leads the ODAC with 220 kills and is second at 3.14 per match. She owns the top-two highest output matches for kills this season, joining this effort with 25 kills against Methodist earlier this season.

Lowers, a senior from Suffolk, Va., put together a 75-kill week as the Yellow Jackets went 3-1 to close out the regular season. She started off her week with 19 kills and 15 digs with three aces in a 3-1 at Washington and Lee. That victory wrapped up Randolph-Macon's unbeaten run thru its ODAC schedule. Lowers then earned a spot on the Emory Invitational All-Tournament Team after posting 56 kills with 29 digs and 11 blocks. That included an ODAC season-high matching 26 kills with 14 digs and four blocks in a 3-1 win over Millsaps. She added 17 kills with nine digs and five blocks in a 3-0 win over Clarkson. Lowers currently leads the ODAC in kills per set (4.18) and is third with 368 overall kills.

Rossberg, a senior from Crozet, Va., hammered 70 kills at a 4.67 per-set clip to go with 44 digs, five blocks and three aces as Randolph-Macon took over sole ownership of the top spot in the ODAC and squared off against nationally ranked competition. Rossberg started off her week with 17 kills and seven digs in a 3-0 victory over previously ODAC unbeated Virginia Wesleyan. In Ohio at a tournament hosted by nationally 25th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan, Rossberg had 21 kills with 12 digs in a 3-1 setback to the host Bishops. She added 22 kills with 14 digs and two aces in a tight 3-2 loss to Hiram, and finished with 10 kills on a .360 hitting percentage and 11 digs for her third double-double of the week in a 3-0 loss to sixth-ranked Wittenberg. Rossberg is now 10th all-time at R-MC with 911 kills. She's ninth in the ODAC with 230 kills this season.

Barrett, a junior from Stafford, Va., picks up her second straight and third overall weekly award of the season after leading the Marlins to four ODAC wins last week. She hammered out 58 total kills for a 4.46 per set average, posting a .364 hitting percentage along the way. She collected 49 digs (at 3.77 per set) and eight aces to with two blocks. She opened her week with a 22-kill 20-dig performance in a 3-1 win over Randolph, adding three aces. She went for 13 kills and 16 digs with two more aces in a 3-0 victory over previously ODAC unbeated Washington and Lee. She added 16 more winners and a .556 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over Emory & Henry. Barrett currently leads the ODAC with 347 kills and is third at 3.81 per set. Her .276 hitting percentage is fourth in the league.

Barrett, a junior from Stafford, Va., put together a banner week in helping Virginia Wesleyan to a 5-0 showing that included a win over Lynchburg and four victories at the Gallaudet Worthington Classic where Barrett was named the Most Valuable Player. She posted 70 kills, 56 digs, eight aces and seven blocks while hitting .305 over the course of the week. She had 16 kills, 10 digs and two blocks in a 3-1 win at Lynchburg, one of three double-doubles on the week. On the first day at Gallaudet, she hammered 14 kills with 16 digs in a 3-0 win over FDU-Florham, and then added 12 kills, seven digs and five aces in a 3-0 victory over the host Bison. Barrett started day two with eight kills, 11 digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Illinois Tech, and finish with 20 kills, 12 digs and two blocks in a 3-2 triumph over DeSales University. Barrett currently leads the ODAC with 289 overall kills and is third at 3.71 kills per set.

Lowers, a junior from Suffolk, Va., led the Yellow Jackets to a 2-2 record that included a conference win over Bridgewater to lock up the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament. Lowers racked up an ODAC-high 62 kills on the week and 4.77 per set, adding to her ODAC-leading marks of 450 kills and 4.50 per set. She had 24 winners in a 3-0 win over Hardin-Simmons, hitting .538 for the match and picking up six digs and two blocks. She notched 16 kills and 16 digs in a 3-1 loss to nationally fourth-ranked Wittenberg. She also had 11 kills apiece in a 3-0 win over Bridgewater and a 3-0 loss to nationally 21st-ranked Trinity (Texas). She had six and nine digs in those matches, respectively. Lowers also leads the ODAC in total attacks (1,255), points won (507.5) and points won per set (5.1).

Lausberg, a junior from Ocoee, Fla., led the Generals to a 2-0 week in ODAC competition, racking up 33 kills in the process. In a 3-1 win over Randolph, Lausberg notched a new career-high with 22 winners in addition to hitting .340. She also recorded six digs and an ace. She followed that up with her second double-digit attacking day in a 3-0 win at Guilford, registering 11 kills to go along with six more digs, an ace and a block. For the season, Lausberg is seventh in the ODAC with 260 kills, tops for W&L.

Templin, a senior from Ferrum, Va., registered 6.5 kills per set in two ODAC wins last week, adding 52 kills to her league-leading totals. Templin opened her week with 23 kills, nine digs and a block in a 3-1 win over Guilford. The next day, she upped the ante with 29 winners, 13 digs, three blocks and two assists in a 3-1 victory over Emory & Henry She had just one error in the contest on the way to a .622 attack percentage. The 29 kills mark a new Randolph program record and are the second-most by an ODAC player this season. It also marks her fourth match of at least 20 kills this year, tied for tops in the conference. For the week, Templin was responsible for 56 points at a 7.0 per set clip, hitting .431 with 22 total digs. She currently leads the ODAC with 366 kills and is second at 3.94 kills per set.

Lowers, a junior from Suffolk, Va., put together a stellar performance last week, setting ODAC season-highs in the process. In a 3-2 win at Randolph, Lowers registered a career-high and school-record 34 kills, tying for the fourth highest single-match total in ODAC history. The 34 kills are the most since former Roanoke standout Melissa Slusher notched 34 winners in 2002 and out-pace the next closest total this season by 10 kills. Lowers averaged 6.80 kills per set and hit .337 for the match on an ODAC season-high 83 attacks. She added a team-best 26 digs and a block, accounting for 34.5 points. For the year, Lowers leads the ODAC at 4.56 kills per set and is second with 301 overall winners.

Boles, a senior from Houston, Texas, put the stamp to her regular season by becoming the ODAC's all-time leader in career kills after helping the Generals to a 3-1 win over Emory & Henry in the final match of the regular season. The win over E&H also locked up the top seed for W&L in the upcoming ODAC tournament. Boles notched 16 kills and hit .277 to go with 17 digs and three blocks in the victory over the Wasps. Having set the W&L career kills record earlier in the season, Boles 16 winners versus E&H give her 1,666 for her career, surpassing the 1,656 posted by former Roanoke College standout Heather Cook '04. Boles currently leads the ODAC in kills (367), attackes (1,000) and total points won (429.5).

Meleski, a senior from Richmond, Va., helped lead Washington and Lee to a 4-0 week that included one conference win and a victory over previously national-ranked foe Christopher Newport. The Generals' setter dished out 129 assists on the week, including a career-high 55 in a 3-1 win over CNU, good for 13.75 per set. She also had 12 digs and three blocks in that match. She record 11 kills, taking advantage of limited hitting attempts towards a .455 attack percentage. She collected 39 total digs, including 15 in a 3-1 win over Mary Washington, and added nine total blocks with a high of five in a 3-0 triumph over Randolph. Her six kills in a 3-0 win against York (Pa.) set a new career-best. Meleski currently leads the ODAC in assists (918), assists per set (9.66) and service aces (50).

Grimes, a junior from Midland, Va., picks up her second weekly award after helping lead Bridgewate to a 3-0 week, including a pair of ODAC wins over Shenandoah (3-0) and Washington and Lee (3-0). Grimes hit .643 on the week with 28 kills against just one error to go with 11 blocks and five digs from her middle position. She notched 12 kills and six blocks against Shenandoah, and then followed that with 11 winners and five blocks against the Generals. Grimes currently leads the ODAC in blocks solos (27) and total blocks (97), is second in attack percentage (.305) and third in total kills (271).

Kallam, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., helped lead the Eagles to a 2-2 week that included a 3-0 win at Virginia Wesleyan and a 3-2 triumph at Salisbury University. BC's setter handed out 108 assists over four matches, including 40 in the Eagles win over the Sea Gulls. She also had four kills, nine digs and two blocks in that match. Against VWC, she passed out 24 assists with nine more digs and hit .571 with four kills. For the week, Kallam hit .400 (9-1-20) with 30 total digs and four blocks. She is currently second in the ODAC with 664 assists and third at 8.0 assists per game.

Carter, a senior from Moseley, Va., picks up her second weekly award of the season after leading Randolph-Macon to a 4-0 week that included a pair of ODAC wins to wrap up the first undefeated conference campaign in the program's history. Carter cashed in 59 kills for the week as she averaged 4.92 per game (12 games played). She posted double figure kills in each match, with 14 apiece in 3-0 wins over Virginia Wesleyan and Mary Baldwin. She notched 15 winners and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Randolph, and capped her week with 16 kills and 14 digs in a 3-0 win over Maryville (Tenn.). Carter hit .408 for the week and collected 30 digs. She is currently fourth in the conference with 328 kills and 3.64 per set average and is third with 49 kills.

Boles, a junior from Houston, Texas, led the Generals to a 3-0 week in league play. She collected 59 total kills at a 5.90 per game clip while hitting .403 over the trio of matches. She also averaged 3.40 digs per set, corralling 34 loose balls in total. After a 19-kill nine-dig showing in a 3-0 win over Guilford, Boles one-upped herself with a pair of 20-kill efforts in a 3-1 victory at Roanoke and a 3-0 triumph at Hollins. She added eight digs and three blocks against the Maroons, while chipping in 17 digs and another block at HU. She hit .581 in the latter match. With the 59 kills, Boles moved into seventh place in career kills at W&L with 1,173.

Boles, a junior from Houston, Texas, helped the Generals to a 4-0 showing this past week, which included an ODAC win over Shenandoah. Boles connected for 47 total kills with double figures in each of her three matches played. She averaged 3.92 kills for the week while also collected 52 digs and six aces. She had a pair of double-doubles with 18 kills and 19 digs in a 3-1 win over Rhodes College. She followed that with 6 winners and a career-high 28 digs in a 3-2 win over Berry College. Boles notched a pair of aces in each match. The 47 kills moved Boles into eighth place on the W&L's all-time kills list with 1,114 winners.

Long, a junior from Floyd, Va., led the Eagles to a 4-0 week at the Goucher Invitational where she earned Co-Most Valuable Player honors (with Steveson's Jessica Geiselman). Long racked up 48 kills during the tournament with a trio of double-digit efforts. Included in that total is a 19-kill effort in which she hit .474 in a 3-0 win against Frostburg State. She followed that with 13 kills in a 3-0 victory over McDaniel to give her 32 winners on Sunday. She hit .407 in the latter match. On Saturday, she smacked 11 kills against host Goucher. For the tournament, Long hit .339 and average just short of 4.0 kills per game. She's currently fifth in the ODAC with 209 total kills.

Loftis, a junior from Coventry, Conn., helped the Hornets to a 5-0 week to close the regular season heading into the ODAC Tournament. Loftis collected 37 kills and hit .400 for the week covering 15 games played. Her lowest attack percentage in any one match was .294 as she committed just seven errors in 75 opportunities. She also had a strong week defensively as she collected 17 total blocks, good for 1.13 per game. Her best outing came against Randolph College when she registered 11 kills to go with five blocks in a 3-0 win.

Carter, a junior from Moseley, Va., helped Randolph-Macon to a 2-1 week in which their only loss came at the hands of Eastern University, which is ranked #5 in the country. Carter collected 32 kills for the week including a pair of double-digit kill contests. She knocked out eight winners with four aces, nine digs and a block in a key ODAC win over Lynchburg. She followed that with 11 kills and eight digs against Eastern. Carter capped her week with 13 kills and 14 digs to go with two aces and a pair of blocks. R-MC is now idle through the remainder of the regular season. Carter currently leads the ODAC with 360 kills, which is third most in Randolph-Macon volleyball history.

Boles, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, led the Generals to three wins in three days as W&L wrapped up ODAC play with a perfect 10-0 conference record (25-2 overall). The Generals posted wins over Randolph-Macon, which was previously undefeated in conference play, Randolph and Lynchburg. Boles averaged 15.7 kills, and 11.3 digs per match (3.9 k/set, 2.8 d/set) last week. She posted 20 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 win over Randolph-Macon on Thursday. She followed that with 12 kills, nine digs and a pair of service aces in a 3-0 win over Randolph on Friday. Boles capped her week with 15 kills, 11 digs and a pair of aces in a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Lynchburg on Saturday. Boles is currently second in the ODAC with 321 kills and 3.73 kills per match.

Boles, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, led the Generals to a 5-0 week, including a 4-0 record in the Maroon Classic in which she was named Most Valuable Player. Boles totaled 51 kills (3.6/set), 43 digs (3.1/set) and added three service aces and six total blocks. She registered 11 kills, while adding 10 digs, in a 3-0 win over ODAC foe Emory & Henry. Boles pounded out 12 kills while pick up nine digs and two blocks in a 3-1 win over Averett. She followed that up with 18 kills and a .405 hitting percentage with 16 digs in a 3-1 win over Methodist and 10 kills, eight digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Southern Virginia. For the season, Boles is second in the ODAC with 274 total kills and 3.70 kills per game. Her .295 hitting percentage is fourth.

Guy, a sophomore from Fishersville, Va., helped lead VWC to a 5-0 week, including a five-set win over Roanoke College and an a sweep against a strong field of competition at the St. Mary’s College Seahawk Invitational. Guy produced 79 kills in the five matches, including a season-high 20 against Roanoke. She averaged 15.8 kills through the five matches and 43 attacks per match. Guy also recorded a season-high 20 digs against St. Mary’s. She helped the Marlins to their second victory of the season over three-time defending Capital Athletic Conference champion Salisbury, a first for the VWC program. Guy now has 322 kills this season, the fourth highest total in VWC history.

Freeman averaged a team-high 2.91 kills per set in the Quakers’ 3-0 week that included a pair of ODAC wins… also contributed 3.91 digs per set, three blocks and seven service aces… hit .500 with 10 kills and 12 digs, all team highs, to lead the Quakers past Sweet Briar on the road, 3-0… had nine kills and 16 digs in the Quakers’ 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan… added four service aces and three blocks in Guilford’s first win over the Marlins since 2003… had 13 kills on .257 hitting with 15 digs and an ace in Guilford’s win over Averett… the effort marked her team-leading 11th double-double of the season and helped the Quakers match their highest win total since 1997.

Boles, a freshman from Houston, Texas, earns her second straight weekly honor and second of the season. Boles led the Generals to a 3-0 week, including a 3-0 win over Roanoke … averaged 13.7 kills and 7 digs, while hitting .384 for the week … posted 19 kills (.395) and 11 digs in the sweep of the Maroons … helped W&L avenge an early-season loss to Averett with 14 kills (.423), 7 digs and 2 blocks against the Cougars.

Boles, a freshman from Houston, Texas, helped lead W&L to a 3-2 record in five matches last week that included a pair of contests against No. 6 Christopher Newport and No. 10 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She averaged 11 kills, 2.2 service aces and 8.6 digs per match. She opened the week with 11 kills (.381) and five service aces in a 3-0 victory over Sweet Briar, and closed out the week by recording 14 kills, 13 digs, three blocks and three service aces in a 3-2 loss to No. 10 Wis.-Oshkosh. Boles tallied 15 kills and four digs in a 3-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan. For the week, she registered 55 kills, 43 digs, 11 aces and nine total blocks (3 solo, 6 asst.), accounting for 70 points won.
