Mills, a sophomore from Fredericksburg, Va., earns her third weekly award of the year and her second in the last three weeks. Mills finished first overall Saturday to lead the Eagles to the team title at the Hood Invitational. Mills finished the 6-kilometer course with a time 24:29.03, 28-seconds ahead of teammate Molly Smith who finished second.

Taylor Stokes, Guilford College, Freshman
Stokes had the
Quakers’ best finish (8th) at the 70-runner North Carolina
Collegiate XC Championships… posted the second-fastest
six-kilometer time in school history (25:07), which was the
second-best time among NCAA Division III contestants in the
race.
Jennie Pernisi, Lynchburg College, Senior
Pernisi led LC with a time of 18:51 in the 5-kilomter course
at the Paul Short Invitational, good for 47th place. The
field was dominated by Division I schools.
Kelly Fauth, Virginia Wesleyan College,
Senior
Fauth produced one of her most impressive runs of the season,
placing 21st in a field of 290 runners at the Gettysburg
Invitational. She helped VWC to a 16th place
finish in a field of 25 teams with a time of 25:43.47 on the
6-kilometer course.
Rebecca Bryer, Washington and Lee University, Freshman
Running in her first collegiate race, Bryer was
W&L’s top finisher in 16th place, out of 289 competitors,
with a time of 24:04 at the Gettysburg Invitational
