Schultz, a junior from Hopkinton, Mass., placed 18th out of 201 runners at the Royal Cross Country Classic hosted by Queens University of Charlotte on Friday. She was the top NCAA Division III competitor to complete the race in a field consisting largely of Division I and II competition. She completed the five kilometer course in 18:18.98, setting a new ODAC seasonal top-time, as well as a personal record, at that distance.
Women's Cross Country Honor Roll
Olivia Mills, Bridgewater, Junior
Mills turned in a strong performance against of field of mostly
Division I runners at the Blue Ridge Invite Gold Division race
Saturday. Mills placed 28th out of 177 runners. She ran the 5K
course in a time of 19:01.1, the second-best 5K time in the ODAC
this season.
Anne Mogavero, Guilford, Sophomore
Mogavero set the school record for six kilometers with a
second-place finish at the NC Collegiate Championshp/S/SE Region
Challenge… ran a 24:40.63, which was the fastest NCAA
Division III time at the meet and second overall… she beat
the former mark set in 2008 by Grace Normann by just under 10
seconds… Mogavero now holds Guilford’s five- and
six-kilometer marks.
Grace England, Roanoke, Freshman
England ran a personal best 5k time of 19:59 in the Gold Race at
the Blue Ridge Invitational. England placed 93rd out of
177 runners.
