Gehman, a senior from Millersville, Pa., helped EMU to an eighth place team showing at the Gettysburg Invitational by placing second overall in a field of 355 runners. He finished the eight-kilometer course with a time of 25:49.4, six seconds behind the winner from Lebanon Valley College.
Men's Cross Country Honor Roll
Aaron Hill, Bridgewater (Fr. - Haymarket,
Va.)
Hill placed 128th overall competing in the championship division
at the Princeton Invitational. He posted an 8K time of
25:51.00.
Alex Cooper, Emory & Henry (So. - Christiansburg,
Va.)
Cooper led Emory & Henry to an eighth-place
finish with his 8K performance of 27:38 at the Berry Invitiational.
He cut 21 seconds off of his previous best 8K time. He was also
just nine seconds off the E&H school record set by Jonathan
Siedel during the 2007 season.
Drew Smith, Lynchburg (So. - North Garden, Va.)
Smith finished 26th at the CNU Invitational with an
8K time of 28:06, helping LC to fourth out of five teams.
Harrison Toney, Roanoke (Jr. - Roanoke, Va.)
Toney finished third at the Berry Invitational,
posting an 8K time of 25:50.9. His efforts helped RC to
fourth place, just 29 points out of first.
Mac Strehler, Washington and Lee (So. - Moseley,
Va.)
Strehler helped W&L to second place overall in
the team standings out of 34 squads at the Gettysburg Invitational.
The Generals were the top NCAA Division III team, finishing
behind D-I Bucknell. Strehler finished third overall with an
8K time of 25:57.80.
