Kirsten McMichael, Washington and Lee, So.

McMichael, a sophomore from Eight Four, Pa., won the 2016 Shenandoah Hornet Harrier/Commonwealth Challenge on Saturday at the Kernstown Battlefield. McMichael crossed the finish line of the five-kilometer race in 19:57.40 to take the top spot out of 87 competitors. She beat the second-place runner. This marked the first collegiate win for McMichael.

Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

Erica Grupp, Emory & Henry (Fr.)
Grupp finished 24th overall and third among NCAA Division III competitors at the Greensboro Invitational. She finished the 5K race in 21:47.0, helping E&H to sixth overall and first among D3 squads for the Wasps first team victory.

Taylor Rama, Randolph (Sr.)
Rama broke the women's school-record for a four mile race at the Virginia 4-Miler. She finished with a time of 27:31.0 to win her division of women and place 33rd overall.
