November 7, 2009 Generals Win ODAC Title on Penalty Kicks The Washington and Lee womens soccer team won the 2009 ODAC Tournament championship on penalty kicks, 3-2, after tying Virginia Wesleyan, 0-0, on Saturday at Foster Field. The Generals earn the ODAC's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Tournament. November 4, 2009 ODAC Women's Soccer Finals Set Washington and Lee University and Virginia Wesleyan College were both victorious in semifinal action on Wednesday afternoon, setting up the 2009 ODAC Womens Soccer Touranment championship game. The Generals topped Lynchburg College, 2-1, in Lexington. The Marlins downed Roanoke College, 5-1, at home. October 31, 2009 W&L Tops Guilford, 2-0, in ODAC Quarterfinals The number two seed Washington and Lee womens soccer team would record two goals in the second half as they topped seventh-seeded Guilford, 2-0, in the quarterfinal match of the ODAC womens soccer tournament on Saturday afternoon at Watt Field. October 31, 2009 Roanoke Advances to ODAC Semifinals with 6-1 win over Bridgewater McKenzie Garst had three assists and Carmen Graves scored two goals to lead Roanoke past Bridgewater, 6-1 in the ODAC Quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at Kerr Stadium. The Maroons up their record to 12-6 and will advance to the ODAC Semifinals. The Eagles end their season with a 11-6-1 record. October 31, 2009 Hornet Womens Soccer Advances with 2-0 win over Randolph-Macon Sophomore midfielder Brittany Klippstein broke a scoreless tie over 75 minutes into play at the Lynchburg College women's soccer team defeated Randolph-Macon College 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament. The Hornets, seeded #3, will travel to Lexington, VA, on Wednesday to play #2 seed Washington & Lee in the semi-finals. October 28, 2009 ODAC Women's Soccer Pairings Set Virginia Wesleyan College maintained the top spot in the ODAC womens soccer standings through the final week of play, earning the #1 seed into the leagues conference tournament for the second straight season. The Marlins sit ahead of Washington and Lee University, the second seed in the tournament. Lynchburg College enters as the three seed with Bridgewater College holding down the fourth seed. |
