LYNCHBURG, Va. - The No. 2 Shenandoah University field hockey team advanced to the 2019 ODAC Championship after defeating No. 3 Washington & Lee 2-1 in the semi-finals on Friday night.
Taylor Hayes and Kelsey Jones connected in both the first and fourth quarters for the Hornets (15-3). The Generals (10-8) scored in the 57th minute but were unable to tie up the match.
Shenandoah will take on the host and top-seeded Lynchburg tomorrow night at 6 p.m. in the ODAC Championship for the second year in a row.

First Quarter
SU 04:33 | Following a penalty corner, Kelsey Jones made a move around a defender, found Taylor Hayes who ripped her shot past the Lynchburg defense.
Fourth Quarter
SU 53:54 | Megan Stevens inserted a penalty corner attempt to Kelsey Jones at the top of the scoring circle. Jones stopped the pass and Hayes was able to sneak a shot inside the post.
W&L 56:10 | Tess Muneses scored an unassisted goal for the Generals.
