ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament Seeds Set

Washington and Lee Enters as Top Seed

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University holds down the top seed in the 2014 ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament, as the Generals go in search of their fifth straight and 33rd overall conference crown.  Ranked 24th nationally, W&L (13-4 overall, 10-0 ODAC) is followed by Virginia Wesleyan College (13-4, 9-1) as the second seed.

The final match of the regular season decided the third and fourth seeds as Randolph-Macon College (12-6, 8-2) came thru with a 5-4 victory over Bridgewater College (11-9, 7-3) to stake is claim to the third spot. The Eagles slot fourth and welcome fifth-seeded Hampden-Sydney College (6-6, 6-4) to Bridgewater for quarterfinal play.  Sixth-seeded Guilford College (6-10, 5-5) heads north to Ashland to face R-MC.

Roanoke College (8-6, 4-6). which occupies the seventh seed, will make a trip to VWC for its quarterfinal action. Randolph College (7-10, 3-7) rounds out the eight-team field and will head over the mountain to W&L to open the tournament.

Tournament action begins with the quarterfinals on Saturday, April 19 or Sunday, April 20, due to the Easter holiday.  Each of the four quarterfinals will be played at the campuses of the four highest seeds.  The resulting four winners will play in the semifinals on Saturday, April 26, with the championship following on Sunday, April 27.  Sweet Briar College will serve as host for the final three matches.
