Pairing Set for ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament

Washington and Lee, Shenandoah Earn Byes into Semifinals

FOREST, Va. --- Reigning ODAC champion Washington and Lee University (14-2 overall, 10-0 ODAC) secured the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament as the Generals completed the regular season with an unblemished 10-0 record in league play.  They earn one of two byes into the semifinals, with the other going to second-seeded Shenandoah University (11-6, 8-2).

SU played its way to the number two spot for the second straight year with an overtime win at Guilford College (10-6, 8-2) on Saturday afternoon.  The Hornets registered a 16-14 win, moving them into a tie with the Quakers in the ODAC standings at 8-2. The head-to-head win secured the #2 position for SU and the #3 slot for GC.  Guilford will host one of two quarterfinal matchups.  The other host will be Roanoke College (10-7, 4-3), which will play out of the fourth slot.

A second tiebreaker was needed to determine the fifth and sixth seeds as Randolph-Macon College (9-7, 6-4) and Lynchburg College (7-8, 6-4) sit deadlocked on the league's table.  A 10-9 road win in mid-March awarded the Yellow Jackets the fifth seed, with LC assuming the sixth position.  The Hornets make the trip to Guilford for their quarterfinal matchup, while R-MC heads to Roanoke.

Quarterfinal play begins on Wednesday, April 23, with the semifinals set for Saturday or Sunday, April 26/27.  The winners of the semifinals will play on Saturday or Sunday, May 3/4.  The dates are contingent upon graduation and/or exam dates of the competing schools.
