FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University is in search of its 24th ODAC women’s tennis crown as the Generals (13-2 overall, 11-0 ODAC) enter play in the 2014 ODAC Women’s Tennis Tournament as the top seed for the 12th straight year.  Winner of the past 11 conference championships, W&L is followed closely into the postseason by second seeded Roanoke College (14-2, 10-1).

Randolph-Macon College (14-5, 9-2) earned the three seed, while Bridgewater College (11-4, 8-3) is slotted fourth and will welcome fifth-seeded Randolph College (12-5, 7-4) to Bridgewater on Saturday for its quarterfinal match. Shenandoah University (11-5, 6-5) will play out of the sixth position and will make its way to Ashland for its opening round contest.

The final two seeds were decided via head-to-head tie-breaker with Emory & Henry College (10-9, 4-7) earning the seventh seed thanks to its 6-3 victory over Guilford College earlier this month. GC (6-10, 4-7) rounds out the eight-team field and will travel to Lexington on Saturday.

Tournament play begins Saturday, April 19, with each of the four quarterfinals scheduled at the campuses of the four highest seeds.  Each of the four winners will play in the semifinals on Saturday, April 26, with the championship following on Sunday, April 27.  Sweet Briar College will serve as host for the final three matches.
