ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament Seeds Set

W&L Owns Top Seed, Targets 25th Conference Title

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University (20-4) worked thru the ODAC schedule with an 11-0 record, leading the nationally fifth-ranked Generals to the top seed in the ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament.  W&L has its eyes set on a 13th straight and 25th overal conference crown.

Roanoke College (11-5, 10-1) will play out of the second seed, while Randolph-Macon College (13-3, 9-2) will be the third seed.  Randolph College (11-5. 8-3) saw its strong campaign with a quarterfinal hosting opportunity as the fourth seed.

The WildCats welcome fifth-seeded Bridgewater College (8-7, 7-4) to campus.  The Eagles secured their spot with a win over sixth-seeded Shenandoah University (12-5, 6-5) on Thursday.  The Hornets head to Randolph-Macon for their quarterfinal contest.  The seventh seed belongs to Hollins University (8-10, 5-6) as HU will make the short jog to Roanoke.  Sweet Briar College (7-11, 4-7) rounds out the eight-team field as the eighth seed, setting up a matchup with W&L.

Tournament play begins Sunday, April 26, with the four quarterfinals scheduled at the campuses of the four highest seeds.  Each of the four winners will play in the semifinals on Saturday, May 2, with the championship following on Sunday, May 3.  Virginia Wesleyan College will serve as host for the final three matches.
