Six-Team Field Set for ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament

Fourth-Straight Season of Byes for W&L and R-MC

FOREST, Va. --- The top two teams in the ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament field have a familiar ring as Washington and Lee University and Randolph-Macon College lead the table for a fourth successive season. The pair earn byes thru the quarterfinal round.

Nationally 10th-ranked Washington and Lee University (13-4, 8-0 ODAC) tops the six-team field as the #1 seed, which awards the Generals hosting responsibilities for the semifinals and final on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6. Randolph-Macon College (10-6, 7-1) opens the six-team tournament slotted second.

In a rare occurrence for ODAC postseason fields, there were no ties that effected the tournament field. Lynchburg College (8-7, 6-2) and Shenandoah University (11-6, 5-3) earned the third and fourth seeds, respectively. Those designations come with hosting duties for the quaterfinals on Wednesday, May 2. LC welcomes sixth-seeded Roanoke College (8-7, 3-5) to campus, while fifth-seeded Bridgewater College (11-5, 4-4) heads north up I-81 to SU. The two winners join W&L and R-MC in the final four at Lexington on the weekend.
