FOREST, Va. --- A pair of ties including one three-way stalemate dotted the final ODAC volleyball standings following play on Saturday morning and early afternoon. Virginia Wesleyan University was not involved in one of those tiebreaker scenarios as the Marlins went 11-1 through its league slate to secure the #1 seed in the upcoming ODAC Volleyball Tournament.
ODAC newcomer Averett University joined Randolph-Macon College and Washington and Lee University in a three-way tie at 10-2 for the next three seeds. The Cougars defeated both R-MC and W&L in their regular season matchups, awarding them the second seed in the eight-team field. The Generals went 1-1 in those matches, earning them the third seed. The Yellow Jackets round out the top four seeds in fourth position.

Bridgewater College enters as the fifth seed outright and will travel to Randolph-Macon in the quarterfinals. University of Lynchburg locked up sixth position with wins its final two matches, slotting the Hornets sixth with a trip to Lexington to face W&L to begin their tournaments.
Head-to-head tiebreakers were again called into service to determine the final two seeds. Eastern Mennonite University topped Roanoke College in their regular season meeting, earning the Royals the #7 spot with a trip to Averett in the quarterfinals. The Maroons have a quarterfinal date with top-seeded VWU in Virginia Beach.
Tournament play begins on Wednesday, November 2, with four quarterfinal matches at the top-four seeds. The semifinals will be hosted on campus at the highest two seeds in normal bracket progression on Friday, November 4. The championship will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Sunday, November 6.
