FOREST, Va. --- ODAC standings are starting to take shape as we're thru the sixth week of the fall campaign, just past the midway point. Conference athletes continue to perform at high levels. Those earning weekly honors in field hockey, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming, and women's volleyball include (headshots; from top and left-right) Emily Dudley from Lynchburg field hockey, Sydney Koch from Randolph-Macon volleyball, Jacob Mann from Hampden-Sydney men's soccer, Sarah Barnes from Lynchburg women's soccer, Carolyn O'Halloran from Guilford women's swimming, and Anis Yahi from Greensboro men's swimming.

Remaining awards this week will be announced on Tuesday (m/w cross country) and Wednesday (m/w golf).

FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK Emily Dudley | Lynchburg | Jr. | Midfielder Dudley, a junior from Westminster, Md., picks up her second weekly award after helping Lynchburg to a pair of a victories last week including another high-profile ranked win. Dudley found the net twice last week, registering a goal in each contest as Lynchburg improved to 8-3 on the season and is knocking on the door of a national ranking from the NFHCA. Dudley registered the second goal of the game in the Hornets 2-0 victory over Randolph-Macon during the midweek. She registered three of Lynchburg's 28 shots, the second-most it has fired at an oppositions cage this season. Dudley then came thru relatively early against nationally 12th-ranked Christopher Newport as her 13th-minute goal would prove to be the lone score of the contest in a 1-0 home triumph for Lynchburg. The Hornets have won contests against ranked opponents in consecutive weeks, with the CNU victory following last week's win over then #2 Rowan. MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jacob Mann | Hampden-Sydney | Sr. | Forward Mann, a senior from Mebane, N.C., contributed to the scoresheet in both of Hampden-Sydney's victories last week, running the Tigers' winning streak to six straight games. Mann opened his book in the 62nd minute in a non-conference tilt against Shenandoah as his 20-yard strike proved the game's lone goal for a 1-0 home victory. Bridgewater kept its winning ways rolling in a 2-0 ODAC win at Bridgewater on the weekend. Mann repaid Spell Carr's assist on his goal against SU with a helper late-on to lock-up the Tigers' win and move the squad to 2-0 in the ODAC standings with Guilford, Virginia Wesleyan, and Washington and Lee joining H-SC atop the league table. For the season, Mann is tied for fourth in the ODAC with 13 points and is tied for sixth with five goals scored. He has registered at least one point in three straight games and five of his last six. MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Anis Yahi | Guilford | Sr. Yahi, a senior from Greensboro, N.C., picks up his first weekly honor after leading Greensboro to a tri-meet victory over William Peace and Ferrum College. Yahi won each of the six individual events in which he competed and contributed to a pair of Pride relay squads. Yahi posted victories in the 100-yard butterfly (0:56.78), 100-yard backstroke (0:59.04), 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.36), 50-yard (0:23.79) and 100-yard (0:51.83) freestyles, and the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.76). An All-ODAC Third Team swimmer last season, Yahi also helped Greensboro to second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.22) and 200-yard medley (1:52.82) relays. WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Carolyn O'Halloran | Guilford | Sr. O'Halloran, a senior from Summerfield, N.C., helped the Quakers finish second at the Guilford College Invitational with 266 points, trailing only UNC-Pembroke (572 pts.) and ahead of Hollins (262), William Peace (155), Sweet Briar (151), Ferrum (132), and Salem (55). O'Halloran completed in seven individual events and a pair of relays in a busy afternoon. She earned six indivdiual top-10 finishes. Included in that set was a third-place showing in the 100-yard freestyle (0:58.92), fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (0:27.01), fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:09.09) and 200-yard freestyle (2:20.31), seventh in the 200-yard individual medley (2:41.76), and 10th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:14.61). She chimed in 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:27.44). O'Halloran helped finish third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:55.71) and fourth in the 200-yard medley relay (2:11.15). WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK Sarah Barnes | Lynchburg | Sr. | Defender Barnes, a senior from Cary, N.C., helped Lynchburg pick up its first ODAC win of the season in a top-of-the-table matchup against Bridgewater College. Following a scoreless first half, the Hornets exploded for four goals over a 26:41 stretch in the second 45 on the way to a 4-0 home triumph. Barnes assisted Amanda Wigboldy on the game's first goal in the 55th minute, and then made it 2-0 Lynchburg in the 63rd minute when she deposited a pass from Alyssa Rudy into the back of the net. VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Sydney Koch | Randolph-Macon | So. | Middle Blocker Koch, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., moved to the top of the NCAA Division III charts in hitting percentage following an error-free attacking week in Randolph-Macon's two ODAC victories. Koch, who now leads the conference and country with a .463 hitting mark, collected nine kills at a .474-rate to go with four digs and four blocks in a 3-1 victory at Washington and Lee. She continued her strong season in a 3-0 victory at Hollins. She went for 11 kills and hit .579 for the match while adding an assist, a dig, and three more blocks to give her seven in seven sets played for the week. She finished the week with 25.0 total points at 3.6 per set patrolling the Yellow Jackets front line. For the season, Koch is seventh in the ODAC in block assists (44), total blocks (48), blocks per set (0.89). She has racked up 120 kills in 227 attacks with just 15 errors in 54 total sets played.
