The Basics

The Lead: For the final time this regular season, the Roanoke women's lacrosse team was in action when they traveled to Salisbury for a non-conference matchup. Roanoke scored first but the home team would explode for 10, first half, goals to take control and go on to an 18-7 win over the Maroons.
How it Happened:
- The first five minutes of the game belonged to Roanoke as Emerson Foster scored twice for a 2-0 advantage.
- However, the Sea Gulls would answer with 10 of the next 12 scores to take a 10-4 lead at the break. After a Salisbury 5-0 run, Foster would add her third goal with Ellie Armstrong adding a score off a free position opportunity.
- Lilly Blair scored off a pass from Molly Kasemeyer to start the second half.
- After a pair of scores by the home team, Blair and Foster would go back-to-back but Roanoke would not score again as Salisbury would close out the afternoon with six consecutive goals.
- Carly Schoudel went the distance in net, making eight stops.
