Duncan's Career High Leads Greensboro Over Guilford

Greensboro, N.C. – Danielle Duncan poured in a career high 30 points, as Greensboro College defeated Guilford College, 81-57, on Monday night at the Greensboro Coliseum. It was the season-opener for both teams.

Duncan, a junior, was 11-22 from the field, grabbed nine rebounds and made 8-11 free throws. She returned this year to The Pride after taking last season off.

Bianca Richburg tallied 15 points and also had nine boards. Nikki Wilborn added 10 points for The Pride, despite playing only six minutes in the first half due to foul trouble.

The Pride led 33-28 at the break. Duncan had 10 points, and freshman Chevena Pickard made 8-8 free throws in the first 20 minutes. She was 1-2 from the charity stripe in the second half and finished with nine points.

The Pride led in rebounds, 48-29. Greensboro forced 24 turnovers, and committed 14.

Jazlyn Gibbs scored 23 points for Guilford, and was their only player to score in double digits.

Greensboro faces Lynchburg in the first round of the Emory & Henry Classic on Saturday.
