Brevard Baseball Tops Emory & Henry, 5-1, Wednesday Afternoon

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Baseball Team (3-15) earned a 5-1 non-conference win over visiting Emory & Henry College Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Emory & Henry went up 1-0 in the top of the first on a solo home run to left field by junior third baseman Hayden Milley (Clover, S.C.).

Brevard answered with three runs in the bottom of the opening frame coming off a three-run shot by Holden Lanier. The Tornados added insurance runs in the fifth and eighth frames on their way to the 5-1 victory.

Reid Ziomek earned the will for BC, allowing just one run on six hits with six strikeouts across seven innings. E&H freshman Cameron Mullins (Rocky Mount, Va.) suffered the loss, permitting four runs on eight hits despite striking out seven in six innings of work.

Emory & Henry will return home on Saturday for an ODAC doubleheader against No. 38 Randolph-Macon College. First pitch between the Wasps and Yellow Jackets is scheduled for noon.
