The Lead: Roanoke College took their 3-0 record on the road for a trip to New York. The first stop would be a visit to Oneonta for a match with the Red Dragons on Saturday afternoon. Just over 17 minutes into the match, Roanoke got the first score of the game and took the 1-0 advantage into the break. A second half goal would increase the lead as Roanoke picked up their third shutout in their first four contests.

  • At the 17:17 mark of the opening half, Morgan O'Neill took a feed from Eliza Ryan and netted her fourth goal in as many matches to get the Maroons on the score board first.
  • The Maroons would enjoy a 7-3 shot edge during a first half that would see keeper Taylor Gallik record two saves.
  • Just eight minutes into the second frame, the Maroons added to their lead when MC Petrucelli scored off an assist by Cameron Shackford.
  • The Maroons would have a 17-5 shot edge with an advantage in shots on goal, 9-3.
  • Shackford led Roanoke with four shot attempts while O'Neill added three.
  • Carrington Lippi relieved Gallik at the half and recorded a save in her first game action of the season. The duo combined to record Roanoke's third shutout of the young season.
