UMW Volleyball Blanks Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday Evening

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept a 3-0 decision at Eastern Mennonite University on Wednesday evening in Harrisonburg, Va. Game scores were 25-19, 25-15, 25-11; the Eagles improve to 3-1 on the season.

Sophomore hitter Chloe Crosen (Winchester, Va. / Millbrook) led the Eagles with 11 kills against one error in 16 attempts, while junior Caitlyn Burch added seven kills against two errors in 10 attempts, and senior Krista Rodgers posted 10 kills against no errors in 17 tries. Sophomore Lauren Foley led the Eagles with 18 assists, while Brenna Campbell added 12.

Junior Jordan Lyons led with nine digs, and Rodgers led with one solo block and three block assists.

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday at 4:00 p.m., when they host Christopher Newport University in the first of six games hosted by the Eagles over the weekend.
