The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's soccer team's offense was on display in an 11-0 shutout over Hollins in the final home game of the regular season for the Maroons at Kerr Stadium. Seven different Roanoke players scored in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Eliza Ryan scored the game-winner just 2:16 into the contest off a pass from Emily Moffit.
  • In the 9th minute, MC Petrucelli scored the first of her four goals on the afternoon off a direct pass from Jena Wahdan to Moffitt to Petrucelli.
  • The Maroons scored three more goals in the next three minutes with two more from Petrucelli and an unassisted goal by Logan Tyler at 10:22, putting the Maroons ahead 5-0.
  • Roanoke led 8-0 at halftime thanks to three more goals. Cameron Shackford scored at 30:05 and a pair of goals by Morgan O'Neill at 34:19 and 41:47.
  • The second half saw Brook Nicholson score off a pass from Emily Stockdale at 48:11 before Petrucelli scored her final goal at 74:43 off a pass from Makayla Metzler.
  • Harlee Pangle closed out the scoring with a goal, unassisted, at 78:02.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • The 11 goals are the most for the Maroons in a single game since a 12-0 win over Sweet Briar in 2018.
  • The Maroon defense did not allow a single Hollins shot.
  • Carrington Lippi got the win in goal, playing the first 14:31 of the game. Taylor Gallik and Victoria Correll also helped Lippi combine for the shutout
