nd-ranked Johns Hopkins men's soccer team opened the season with a 3-1 win over Hampden-Sydney Friday night at the UMW Classic. Â

How it Happened
• Junior
RJ Moore opened the scoring in the 15
th minute when he beat Gray Sutter on a one touch off a loose ball in front of the Tigers' goal. The lead lasted just 11 minutes as Jack Sweney scored on a deflection in the 26
th minute to knot the score at one.
• Junior
Pablo Martinez then put the Blue Jays back on top, for good as it turned out, in the 54
th minute. Senior
Liam Moylan sent the ball into the box and Martinez headed it past Sutter for the game-winner.

Nate Charendoff added an insurance goal in the 68
th minute to push the Blue Jays' lead to two. Senior
Connor Jacobs crossed the ball in front of the goal and Charendoff was there to bury it.

• Hopkins improves to 2-0-0 against Hampden-Sydney as the teams have met each of the last two years at the UMW Classic.
