The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's soccer team's comeback fell just short in a 2-1 loss on the road to Randolph-Macon in Ashland.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Yellow Jackets scored a pair of goal sin the first 13 minutes to take an early 2-0 lead over Roanoke.
• In the 18^th minute Morgan O'Neill took a pass from Eliza Ryan and fired a shot passed the goalie to bring the Maroons back within one.
• R-MC had the 2-1 halftime lead and held on for the same score win as neither team found the back of the goal in the second half.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Carrington Lippi played all 90 minutes in goal making two saves.

• The Maroons returns home on Sunday, October 23 when they host a rescheduled game against Shenandoah at Kerr Stadium. The game with the Hornets gets underway at 2 p.m.
