Virginia Beach, Va. - The Bethany College softball team opened up the 2020 season at Virginia Wesleyan University, Friday afternoon. The Bison were shutout, 8-0 against the Marlins. Lauren Maichle had the lone Bison hit in the game.

Virginia Wesleyan scored in the first inning and used a four run second inning to take a 5-0 lead. The Marlins capitalized on four Bison errors to keep a commanding lead over the Bison.
