The Lead: On a beautiful Sunday in Salem, Roanoke welcomed former Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe, Emory & Henry to the courts on Elizabeth Campus. The Wasps are in the transition to leave Division III for the DII ranks and the match would be played under NCAA DII rules, awarding one cumulative point for the trio of doubles matches.
Highlights:
- E&H took two of the three doubles matches for the team point but the duo of Hunter Adams and Dalton Capobianco picked up a 6-2 win at the #3 spot.
- The #5 singles point went to Roanoke on the back of a Lance Beheler 6-3 and 6-1 victory.
- At #6, Michael Morrell gave the Maroons another point, with a 6-4 and 6-1 win over E&H.
Up next: The match was the second, and final, match this fall as the bulk of the Roanoke men's tennis schedule will take place in the spring. The Maroons travel to Mary Baldwin on February 26th to get the spring campaign started.
