Roanoke Women’s Soccer Downs Emory & Henry, 4-0, Thursday Afternoon

SALEM, Va. – The Roanoke College Women's Soccer Team (2-2-1, 2-1 ODAC) scored two goals in each half as it earned a 4-0 win over visiting Emory & Henry College (0-4, 0-4 ODAC) Thursday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest.

How It Happened
- RC got on the board at the 19:56 mark of the contest when M.C. Petrucelli scored on a play assisted by Lucy Perry and Tessa Walsh.
- Just before the halftime whistle, the Maroons made it 2-0 as Eliza Ryan found the back of the net. Perry earned her second assist of the contest.
- Abigail Burke and Lauren Mazurek added a pair of insurance goals in the 86th minute for the final 4-0 margin.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Capone (Kannapolis, N.C.) made 25 saves in the contest, just one off the school record set by Melissa Berry against Washington and Lee University during the 2000 season.
- Junior defender Taylor Mauldin (China Grove, N.C.) and sophomore forward Amber Altice (Rocky Mount, Va.) both had shots on goal for the Wasps.
